Michael, can you tell me what key/scales you used in the intro of the second solo? I remember you teaching something similar in a Guitar World column, but I can't find it anywhere! I want to learn the rest of that solo, and it's killing me inside! Sorry to bother you about this! Thanks!

I used a chromatic scale with minor third harmonies to start the solo. About 95% of the solo was played exactly the same way every night on tour. The "Freight Train" solo was written, not improvised with the exception of a few short passages. I suggest you slow it down to learn, but first, learn the chord progression. The notes fit the key of the progression except for the chromatic sweep arpeggios. I made that part a bit outside, but I felt it worked. I hope this helps. :-)
