Are the ESP M2-Deluxe guitars made in the 1990s (NOT to be confused with the late 90s and 2000s ESP M2 Standard Series) good? If so, exactly how good are these guitars? How would you compare them to a late 80's Fender Heavy Metal Strat, or a 1986 or 1987 Charvel Model 6? Are the ESPs more valuable or less valuable? I've heard ESPs, even though they're Japanese made as opposed to some of the Jacksons and Charvels which are American made, and Dean guitars which has a line of American made guitars, but ESP is only made in Japan I think and still they have a reputation as being expensive guitars, maybe more expensive on average than shred guitars such as Ibanez, Charvel, Jackson, Dean, or Fender Heavy Metal Strats. How is ESP able to get away with charging more than these other companies (on average when comparing similar models of guitars from each company such as a high end ESP and a high end Jackson or Ibanez)?
Which Jackson would you say is the most similar to the ESP model I described as far as what it's designed for, the quality of the model, and how valuable it is?\
Finally, can you name any famous guitarists who play the ESP M2-Deluxe and/or tell me the type of metal it's best suited for. If you are very familiar with the ESP M2-DEluxe from the 1990s (again, not the late 90s and 2000s M2 Standard Series) and you could describe the type of tone and the type of sound in general this guitar is likely to get compared to the guitars of similar design and value from jackson, Ibanez, Dean, Fender HM Strat, Charvel and what, if anything, is the sound of the ESP M2-DEluxe famous for (such as possible answers like great highs or great bottom end, or great sustain, or a super fast neck, or great mid-range, or great clean and distorted tones, etc) that would be very appreciated!!!
