I have always believed in the saying "Stop dreaming, start doing ". Last week I was watching MAB videos researching his guitars and came across a video of a clinic and MAB said "Stop dreaming, start doing and finish it! At first I was pissed! This was one of my pillars. I kept cursing MAB for changing what I thought was perfection. But after alot of thought, I concede that he is right. There were times that I didn't finish and that I justified it by starting it. Thanks Michael. And yes I bought a MAB -1 Speed of Light Should be here on Tuesday.

Sean. Welcome. The Speed of Light is an amazing guitar. It was the first MAB signature guitar I bought. It's hard to believe that was 4 years ago. In my opinion they look better in person. The "Just finish it" part haunted me for several years on a couple things I kept putting off. Finally I decided to "just finish it" and couldn't be happier.

This is a good philosophy It reminds me of someone I was friends with who was always starting new things but never followed through on any of them whether it was a new weight lifting regimen, learning a musical instrument, joining the high school wrestling team, etc. His next door neighbor who was also a close friend of his told me this about my friend Craig: "Craig has the enthusiasm to start anything but he doesn't have the dedication or self-discipline to finish anything." At the time I was the opposite. I started lifting weights at the age of 10 and in 10th grade I won the county-wide bench press contest in the division for 15 year olds.. I got a 1310 on the SAT. I graduated with a B.A. in Marketing from one of Florida's better universities. My friend Craig barely even graduated from the high school we went to where we both met in the 10th grade. WE had one thing in common - we loved heavy metal music! After I got a guitar he got a bass and we'd jam together. So despite our very different philosophies we were best friends! He also had a great sense of humor. I think he missed his true calling as a stand up comedian. I kept hoping he would practice bass more so he would get good enough that we could start a serious band but he was no more serious about that than he was serious about his physical conditioning. He weighed literally more than twice what I weighed. 20 years after we became friends Craig died of a heart attack in is sleep at the age of 36, leaving behind a widow after 13 years of marriage. I wrote this very personal story to illustrate just how dangerous it can be to take a bad philosophy towards life. personally I recommend Objectivism as it is the only rational philosophy I have ever discovered. If you would like to know some more about Objectivism I suggest you read a novel entitled "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand - the founder of Objectivism. "The Fountainhead" is a great novel with a very exciting story but in addition to being just a novel it also illustrates many of the principles of Objectivism by way of the actions of the protagonist Howard Roark. If you don't have the motivation or the drive to finish this approximately 700 page novel that would be a shame, but there was a very good movie made based very closely on the novel and it stars Gary Cooper! www.amazon.com/Fountainhead-Gary-Cooper/dp/B002RT5SR2/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1453054332&sr=8-5&keywords=The+Fountainheadwww.amazon.com/Fountainhead-Ayn-Rand/dp/0451191153/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453054486&sr=8-1&keywords=The+Fountainhead

I enjoy Ayn Rand's books very much. I was introduced to her philosophy through Mike Mentzer. I reread the "fountainhead once a year.

I think he was absolutely brilliant to use Objectivism to help him devise the most efficient system of building muscle. May I ask about how old you are? I'm in my forties.

I am also in my late 40's. Have been a fan of Mike Mentzer since the Eighties. There was no one better. More importantly I've been a fan of MAB for only a few months. He is an amazing guitar player but also appears to be a very honest and humble guy. His honesty was a big factor in my decision to order his MAB-1 over other guitars at that price range. I have been on a constant diet of his music.-Awesome
