Really curious to know if anyone from the old gang is still around. 10+ years ago some of our talks/fights/lessons/chats. It was fun as heck for me!
Hope everyone is doing well. BLACKORCHIDX and S-H I would especially like to track down and say hello to.

I was here when Jim Gillette was still part of the board and had his own section. I was here during years when when MAB would post several times a week. That was a very nice time in the history of this forum. Michael was doing something by answering questions from his fans that I don't think any other well known virtuoso level guitarist was doing! He even had an audience participation thing I think on "Hands Without Shadows" or the album right before or right after that. By that I mean I seem to remember he had a bunch of guitar players from this forum actually play on a solo of one of his songs and he recorded it!
Sadly it doesn't seem like we will ever see that level of interaction between fans and MAB here again. I feel like I'm one of the lone people who still checks in here from time to time but this place is nothing like it once was and that's a shame because it used to be great!

I miss those days, this forum as well John Petruccis have really dropped off a lot.

Unfoftunately, due to social media, forums are on their way out. Some forums will last but the majority of them won't. MAB have not made any comments here in a long while and I don't blame him because there's almost no activity at all here anymore.
I did send Steve (S-H) a message a year ago and he has not responded, he's not been online for almost three years now. I hope he's OK.

Just for information, MAB is talking a lot with fans vía Facebook, maybe not in the deepest levels that the forum reached years ago (explaining techniques, equipment, technical questions etc.) but you can talk with him. As a reference, he commented a cover that I did of No Boundaries via Facebook.
Regards!
