Thx for the info Deb Yngwie Malmsteen or The Great Kat? Yngwie. No contest. Guitar One Magazine listed the top 10 "shredders" of all time about a year ago and I was voted number 1. The Great Kat was 10th but she was quoted as saying that all of the other people mentioned in the top 10 ***ed but her. Nice! Yngwie was on the list as well. ;D what a bitch (can I use that word?? I will ) but I guess it's part of her image. I dl'ed a couple of vids from her site, she looks scary, but she plays good violin.

Michael will be in Florida next week performing clinics and DOA. While at the Dean facility, he will be working on the design for the new guitar.

;D funky, he is lucky to have met rhoads, i've met his mum Deloris when randy was put onto the rock of fame. I wish Randy was still here, he is in our hearts and his music lives on with us peace

What kind of bridge will be on the MAB signature model? ... it would be cool if one could choose between a FR or a fixed bridge

I'd personaly prefer a Floyd Rose i think there great I like them both ;D ... Ibanez also has the FXbridge, which is a is similar to a floyd with the locking nut etc but the bridge is fixed, so basically you get the tuning stability of a floyd sans trem. One thing I love about MAB is that he doesn't use his whammy bar like a lot of players do, as a crutch. He uses it tastefully and not overdone.

Without a whammy I could't care less about a locking nut, rather locking tuners. I have Gotoh on one, and Sperzel on another guitar, both damn easy to tune

I would go for the fixed bridge as well. I never really used a whammy bar all that much and agree that one can rely on it as a crutch. I think that Vai and Satriani can at times use them to excess instead of being more melodic with their tones.

Dammit it would have to go low, and the fretwire for the upper frets would have to be very thin ;D

But youd so have one given the option I am actually consider buying a 36 fretter, they are fairly expensive and pretty pointless, but wow.

I like most tremelo setups, not too keen on floyd rose though, the ones that you get on ibanez prestige models are cool, can someone help me out and tell me what type they are and also if they can be bought as an upgrade.
Cheers guys
Peace

Hahaha Michael should make a guitar like that just for the hell of it if his ears didn't cave in from the sound being so high pitched but then again the ear probally wouldn't be able to hear it but it would drive bats crazy sence that type of species can! ;D
