Hello everyone. Again, thanks for the tremendous response to our forum. A special thanks to Deb and to our new moderator Luke. I am leaving for the NAMM show early tomorrow morning. I will post as often as I can. For those of you not familiar with the show, it is a huge music convention featuring every conceivable equipment manufacturer. Dean, Marshall, Roland, Tascam, Mesa Boogie, Rocktron, etc... The biggest stars in music appear at this show. We will have plenty of photos on line after I get back.

I wish I could go but it's too far away for me. Still I look forward to seeing you at MIAC in august. Michael does the constant travelling get really hard on you? if so how do you cope? I know I would have a hard time, I suppose one would get used to it but still . Take Care.

I've traveled with Michael several times. I find it to be totally exhausting. A rock stars life consists of early morning flights, waiting at airports, waiting at hotels, waiting for transportation, waiting for the show to begin, waiting for interviews, it's like "hurry up and wait". Michael takes very good care of himself. He is drug free and works out in the gym regularly. After one particular grueling trip to San Francisco, I couldn't wait to get home and rest for a week. Michael on the other hand had to catch another plane the day after returning. You have to really love what you do to be successful as a rock star!

Souvenirs? I'll tell Michael that the Street Team has requested he bring back one Dean Girl per member! ;D ;D It's warm and sunny in LA. Michael phoned today, poolside. I'm sitting here working and watching the snow fall.

What I wanna know is, do any of the Dean girls actually play guitar? lol... Can any of them out-shred Michael? And when it comes to that, does anybody actually care?

Just got back from NAMM. There was a lot of awesome stuff, and I got to meet a lot of awesome people...including our friend Michael . He was really friendly and cool of course, and I even got to take a picture with him ;D. So Deb, you don't have to worry about a picture, because Michael has one on his camera now. Only bummer was that I didn't get a chance to see him play, but oh well, you can't have everything in life .

I looked in the directory and I didn't see that he was performing anywhere so I went by the Dean booth a couple of times, no luck. But finally, just as i was about to leave, I swung by the Dean booth one last time and was finally able to meet Michael. I tell you, man, that made my day ;D.

Where is the NAMM held? What part of US?

NAMM is held in Anaheim California. Michael did not perform at NAMM because he draws too many fans, causing a bottleneck in the traffic flow of the convention. He was there signing autographs and performed a show in the evening with Alter Bridge. There are new photos on his website of some very big stars that attended NAMM.

I performed with Mark Tremonti's new band Alter Bridge at the Grove Theater in Anaheim last Friday night. It was a great event. Other performers included Santana, Al DiMeola and Dave Navarro. Needless to say, the backstage area was the place to be that night. Mark and I walked around the show talking to fans and chatting with other known players such as Kerry King, Zakk Wylde, Jerry Cantrell and more. Photos are on my website.
