My wife and I just bought a new video camera. It's a Zoom Q3HD. The price seemed reasonable and the sound quality specs look really good. Does anybody have any experience with the particular camera? I'd sure like to hear what others have to say about it, especially before my chance to return it expires just in case. Thanks.

Does anybody have an opinion about this video recorder? I'm supposed to be getting it by the end of the week.

I've used the non-HD version of that recorder. I was pretty impressed with it. The sound quality is really good.

Thanks Maxxxwell. We just got the recorder today and I'm going through the literature. It seems pretty easy to operate.
I'd like to ask a few more questions if you don't mind.
What resolution and fps do you use? I'm trying the 720 at 60. I don't know if 30 fps would be to jerky.
Have you tried the external audio input? The built in mics look good but I'm really wanting to try a line signal into the recorder. Also is the type of jack for the line signal 1/8 inch stereo? I'm going to try it anyway, but if there is any disappointment so far, it's the literature which doesn't seem to explain much.

I don't know a lot about video cameras, but I have a question about the fps. You said 30 fps might be too jerky. Does that mean that when recording an extremely fast guitarist, its necessary to use more fps to get a recording where you see his hands move clearly than when recording a slow guitarist who doesn't move his hands nearly as fast? If so, is 6o fps the most you can get in a camera? I mean, would it be possible to et 120 fps, so that even at slow motion it looks clear? What models of video cameras make recording of more than 60 fps possible, and how owuld I go about finding them? Does anybody have a specific brand and model in mind that would be perfect for recording very fast players and being able to use slow motion in the playback and still get a clear (not jerky) picture? Thanks!
