I tabbed the main riff of Children of a Faceless God by Symphony X from their new album, Iconoclast. IT'S SO DAMN CATCHY! I just had to learn it GP5: www.mediafire.com/?01lp9ata8np3424Video: Ignore the alternate endings and there's pinch harmonics on the 5th fret quavers in bar 12/13 but you can hear that in the song.

Sounds about to me. Good job!
I'm loving that album. Totally eclipsed Paradise Lost IMO.

Thanks! I ended up slowing it down to about 1/4 speed.
Me too! Has to be my favourite album of 2011 metal wise. I love every song literally.
Glad to see you think it's better than PL, I think it's their best work yet overall but some "fans" are really unappreciative.

I don't see how any SX fan could be disappointed. It's a friggin' phenomenal album; definitely ranks up there with their best work. I love bands that just keep getting better and better with time.

I completely agree with you, I think they're getting better and better but there's plenty of people living in the past like "oh it's not the same as their old stuff".
It's the only reason why I'm not active on the S X forum

Nice job Javinho.
I agree, I like the direction Symphony X are taking. You will always get the stuck in the mud fans with bands like this, Dream Theater and I've even had conversations with players who dislike Holdsworth's latter stuff but at the end of the day, progressive rock bands are supposed to progress IMO.
Are you gonna see them @ the Islington Academy on the 26th October?

Hahaha thanks, that should totally be my next forum name Yeah I'm with you on that Steve, I like to see bands progress I think that's the whole point of "New" albums. I'd love to! It's a day after my 18th and the only time I'll be able to see them this year probably (don't fancy going up to Manchester). What about you?

I especially like when bands get darker and harder/heavier. \m/ Lol.
I will try to go, though it depends on my nan's health. If I am able to go, I'll take you to Masala Zone in Camden and watch your eyes bleed. Lol.

Yeah same! I think Iconoclast has the perfect balance now really. I don't think I'd mind if they decided to go heavier though.
Ahh, hope she's okay man.
That sounds absolutely brilliant hahaha!!! Masala Zone?! Wow that's awesome
