This is intended simply for the sake of hating. blogs.dallasobserver.com/dc9/2013/03/ten_douchiest_guitarists.phpThe guy that created this post obviously is upset with something in his personal life and I'm certain has never met Michael. This is just rude and sends a really bad message to people that are just becoming familiar with technical guitar playing. I personally have met most of the guys on his list and Michael Batio is a Gentleman - period. I've had him in my home and at my dinner table with my family and he's the real deal. I'm certain I don't have to convince any of you on this forum but I'm just kind of venting. I'm not sure what the purpose is of this guy posting this but he should get his facts straight before trying to trash someone publically. I will bet money he has NEVER met Michael!

MAB is probably one of the last guitarists I would put on a list like that. But don't be too sure he's never met MAB. I actually seen people on forums that claim they have met him and didn't like him. However MAB definitely doesn't belong on a list like that. Guitar virtuosos who I think easily can be taken as a bit arrogant sometimes are Yngwie (of course ), Al Di Meola and Frank Gambale. MAB is definitely not in that category IMHO. With all that said. Who the hell cares about stupid lists and who the hell take media seriously these days?! I know I don't give a *** at least If you care about lists, go and watch sports.

Michael responded to someone who posted this on facebook - he said that he doesn't mind at all when his name is mentioned on a list alongside other famous and highly regarded guitar players As for me, my feeling is that anyone who talks bad about Michael has no idea what a class A person he is and has obviously never listened to any of his musical catalog. It's easy to sit behind a keyboard and judge, but it's another thing to actually have a career in music and be a world class touring musician.

I honestly believe Yngwie deserves a spot on that list because of his arrogance, but what he said about MAB is pretty unprofessional and borderline slander, as well as being completely false. Besides, how many solo artists do you see having a rhythm guitarist play on all if any of their tracks on an album? None, that's how many. Plus, the fact that MAB can be a rhythm and lead guitar player AT THE SAME TIME pretty much makes one unnecessary anyways

A famous guitarist friend of mine said people like that are small people with small lives that need to spew hate to make their insufferable lives seem worth living, well to them at least.

It kind of reminds me of that guy Perez Hilton who's always trash talking different celebrities. It was funny though a few years back when some rap guy bitch-slapped him! Michael is above that though. This guy seems to be faceless and certainly does not have his facts straight. Yngwie and Al Di maybe but not MAB.
