IF you like Steel panther, check out this pretty new Finish band ( They have released one album via label and are gonna release the next one this year.) I saw them live few weeks ago and the gig was mindblowing!
Here is one of their instrumental pieces for you Shredaholics.

I like them a lot! My first thought was that they reminded me of L.A. Guns, but when I heard the guitar solo I realized they'd also been influenced by Nitro and Racer X. I am praying that 80's style metal (what some people like to call "hair metal") is coming back! The 1980's and early 1990's were an amazing time not only in Los Angeles but all over the country. I lived in Tampa, Florida and there was a band there called The Rock-It Club that had bands like Skid Row, Steelheart, Savatage, Roxx Gang, Lynch Mob, and Nitro to name just a few. That was where I saw Nitro play. They where on their tour for their second album H.W.D.W.S. I miss all the great music from that time period and I miss the way that the girls would get all dolled up to go to places like The Rock-It Club with their leather mini-skirts, tight dresses, high heels, perfect hair and make-up, they really got dressed up to go to these kinds of rock clubs and these days you just don't see that anymore. For one thing, there usually are hardly any women at all at metal shows and the ones that do go don't dress up like they used to.
The bands on stage, even the local ands that would be the opening bands for the national bands all really took care of their image so that they looked like rock stars whether they really were rock stars or were still trying to make it big. These days often the bands on stage that are rock stars look often just look like random people off the street. When I go to a show I like it to be just that: a show! I want to hear good music, and I want to see bands that have a good stage presence and are entertaining. I like for there to be a good mix of guys and girls in the crowd - not just guys. Back in the days of The Rock-It Club and the days of The Sunset Strip when heavy metal ruled, you could go to a show and end up meeting a girl who would become your girlfriend. It was such a great scene both musically AND socially. Everyone was having a great time and I miss that. Grunge ruined that when all they wanted to sing about was how miserable their lives were and how bored and "alienated" they felt. The whole vibe of the scene was depressing and it was all downhill from there.
So it's about time for a return to the days when bands sang about having a good time and the guys and girls in the audience were all having a great time. A time when heavy metal wasn't just music; it was a whole lifestyle! The clubs were where people went to hear great bands who looked like they belonged on stage and put on a great show and the clubs were also where people went to socialize. They dressed in the rock and roll fashion of the day, trying to look their best and hoping to meet their next girlfriend or boyfriend.
There hasn't been anything like that for a long time and it's a shame. Hopefully a band like Santa Cruz is a sign that better times are ahead!

This is another 80s style Finnish band, they are lot more poppy than Santa Cruz tough.
But i think that they have some good tunes.

They sound cool! If the singer could go just a bit higher... they would sound amazing. I agree with Blackjack to the point of that seen was amazing. The crowds were great, definitely a good mixture and you definitely got a show. I prefer the leather and studs look as compared to that of Poison, thou... as sometimes it was not real clear who was a guy or girl. C.C. comes to mind first with that, lol! I am glad to see the upswing of that music again. I really hope it stays in this direction. This is becoming a great time for music again I hope to see it remain on this course, but, not blow itself up again, lol! Musicality is taking the forefront again.. and I love it :)Nirvana and the like was a hard blow that it has taken way to long to recover from... I hope the lesson was learned.
