As I just saw this listed on the Dean Calendar for MAB, I thought it would be ok to share the news. Michael Angelo Batio appearance on That Metal Show That Metal Show at New York, New York Taping on March 17, 2015 I haven't heard of when the air-date is.. but my guess is that Friday night!

That's great! It's amazing how MAB is getting more exposure now than he was getting in the 80's which was the peak of the popularity of his type of music. For some reason he got overlooked in that time period, maybe the guitar magazines of the time didn't take Nitro seriously or maybe they were intimidated by his technique. I don't know what the reason was. But he's about the only metal musician who was around in the 80's who is getting more exposure now than then. Congratulations Michael!

This is awesome !! Is he going to be the musical guest and play or be a guest and be interviewed? Either way it will be worth watching.

I haven't seen this show before and I have just checked my VH1 music channel and its not on there. All I have is "Top 40 UK singles" and " Nile Rodgers Chic Party Anthems" so there must be two VH1 channels. I'm just hoping they will post up the performance and interview on their Youtube channel so I can see it later.

Not sure how fast they put the new episodes up. The first episode of this season airs tonight and features Geddy Lee & Joe Elliott with John Petrucci as the Guest Musical artist. I have watched every episode since season 1.

I used to watch "Headbangers Ball" years ago in the 90's but stopped watching tv all together for the last 3-4 years. I only ever watch the movie channels, history channel, travel and discovery channels. I dont find many of the music channels that great anymore exept for the odd live concerts.

I have tried to watch the episodes from the TMS website. Its saying I cannot watch them from my location (outside the U.S.A.) I dont think their is any way you can pay per view one episode. They only seem to be posting free snippets of the show on Youtube. Hopefully they may post a full MAB interview or something so I can watch.

I'm afraid "musical guest" means he'll just be the guy playing guitar between commercials and will not be interviewed. I hope I'm wrong about that and he is interviewed since I'd like to hear what he has to say. As for seeing him play for 10 or 15 seconds before each commercial I'm more than a little aware of what MAB's playing sounds like and looks like and seriously, how much can you do in 10 or 15 seconds? You can't play a song, can't even play a whole solo from a song. It's better than nothing but I would much rather see him interviewed since there are a lot of things he could talk about such as why did Nitro break up, is there any chance for a reunion, does he have plans for getting a new band together and playing an all concert tour of the US instead of doing primarily clinics, what does he think of the current state of heavy metal guitar music and what can be done to revive the recording industry to get it back like it was in the 80's so that musicians can make a buck and stop getting stolen from so much, are there any somewhat unknown shredders that he thinks are great players and have the potential to be the next big name in shred guitar, what was the most hours per day he ever practiced on a regular basis, etc.

I only have the regular VH1 channel so I hope to see it online after it airs. Anyways if you want to see an MAB interview here's a pretty long one that was just posted on youtube the other day and he talks about the music industry and people downloading music:

Thank's BKW. I did try to sign up for an account this morning but it said that the service was only available to the U.S. I'm sure I will be able to watch something on you tube even if its just part of the show.
