Not actually a techincal question. But does he plan on going on tour anytime soon as a guest on G3? I think that would truly be something amazing to see him Satch and Vai on stage together.

Michael has an intense schedule of tours and recording, however, if G3 were to invite him to perform, we would certainly clear the time for him to do so!

If Mike'll ever get on the G3, that tour has to come to Denmark!!! Last time around US Malmsteen (with Vai and Satch). We got Robert Fripp So I think that G3 with Mike is the only acceptable compensation we can get. Got to go to Satch site and start punking him ;D. By the way Mike will we still see You over at MM? What kind of pick-ups does Michael have on his guitars? Also, how long has he been playing guitar. Has he ever thought of playing with Eddie Van Halen? That would be an e guitar duo.

Hey there,
Im from California and I jus heard of MAB over the summer time. I've ben palying the gutiar for about 2 years now. I heard Speed Kills awhile ago and said wow I must play this 8) I did Speed Kills by ear for about a month and got through about 45 seconds of the song. Then I ordered your Speed Lives DVD ( Which is great) Im about 1:20 seconds into the song taking it very slowly. I was wondering by any chance do you have a backing track to speed lives? Jus curious.
Thanks
-Van

This isn't so much a question for Michael as it is for anyone that knows. How established as a musician do you have to be to get endorsements and for that matter: How do you go about getting them??

Hi Michael,
I'm the kid that helped you with the double guitar in the NJ clinic this year. I gave you a copy of a short demo I made and I wanted to know what you thought of it. You said you'd e-mail me if I e-mailed you, well i did and I got no reply. I know you're a very bussy and believe me I know that the last thing on your mind is to reply an e-mail to some guy you don't know. However I would really appreciate it if you would let me know what you thought of my demo. I worked extremely hard on it and I'm trying to persue a career in music so if you can tell me what I could improve on it would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for your time. Happy New Year!
P.S. In case you lost my e-mail it's leporeant27@yahoo.com

Post by GibsonLesPaul on Jan 3, 2005 17:05:00 GMT -6
First of all speed lives is in the key of E and speed killes in the key of D (he plays it in the same position but he has his guitar one tone lower). 2) THere are a few differences eg. in the start of speed kills he plays it a bit differtnt . Anyway , i am playing the speed lives version but i need the backing track from speed kills

Thanks for the support of the new forum! There are some great questions coming in.
Michael will visit soon to answer some of them. He is in recording sessions right now so it may take awhile.
Just keep on posting your questions here!

Hey Mr. Angelo, I was curious, how come no one sells your double neck guitars? It would be really cool to buy one and play it and stuff. You should like, give me a double neck guitar...but thats just me talkin.

Alright, I got a real groanworthy question here, not necessarily for michael, but for any guitarist who knows what theyre doing. I just started playing a few months ago and I think I'm fairly good for the short time i've been playing. I can play over and under the neck, and, to some extent, play with the guitar upside down, and play with inverted hands upside down. Yet, despite all this, I can't play a guitar standing up for the life of me . I got a strap for christmas and I'm really struggling to play the thing standing, either the neck is too low so the fretting is awkward, or the body is too low so that my picking hand is awkward. Is there a problem with my strap, or something wrong with me? Somebody help me out here .

Hi michael and Deb. My names ewen i live in new zealand. I actually play the Bass Guitar. but one of my questions is: Do you think that Anyone could play no boundaries on the bass guitar?
I think you can so thats why I am about to buy a new 6 string Bass Guitar. And im gonna learn the song on the Bass. ive always wanted a 6 string bass anyway.
Question 2 is: in the speed kills intro video when michael sarts the song he does this other shred thing before he actually goes into the song. well anyway could it be possible if you could send me the tab or music to that starting bit to me at my msn adress.(ewenford@hotmail.com)

AK25 , total blasphemy , only the michael the God plays in a doubleneck . (note: i was faithless until i listened to him) Newbie : You are not the only one facing that problem . When i start playing i couldnt play standing up at all , and i did i huge mistake : For 2 years i didnt play standing up at all . So when we started playing live we my band , i had to spend about six months studing all the way from the start this time standing up . Now i cannt play while i am sitting any more . i suggest start playing that way and after some time u ll realise that u are very comfortable with it . Just make sure that u have your guitar high in the start . ( if my english ***s abit i am sorry . Italy is not very famous for its english schools)

GibsonLesPaul, come on man, you cant tell me you wouldnt want a double neck to have and play! it would be wicked fun. and Steve Vai has a guitar that has a neck sticking out in an opposite direction kind of like Michael Angelo's...it's not complete blasphemy.

I was wondering if Dean guitars had any plans on making a signature guitar for Michael, just a single necked axe as the double necked is Michaels signature style and should remain so, I am not looking to immate him I just really like his sound and was wondering what kinda woods, fret, and pickup combinations are used to create such beautiful tones, plus I can only imagine the shape it would take. And what kinda equipment he uses. It would be a good building block to experiment and expend upon and he has had the oppertunity to check out much more things then I have. I am sure this has been asked a thousand times, but I am new to forums and having trouble figuring out how to get around it. Anyway, Thank you for the oppurtunity to ask questions! For now this is it as I'm sure that I can learn any playing questions from his instrutional DVD!

IMO speed lives . You ll improve your techiqe alot and u ll learn to play angelo's best song(for me his best is 2xagain but anyway). Of course the best option is to buy them both , they are great
