All the guitars that Dean currently make should be on their site. I'm not sure if Dean Custom 450 is still available, wich I think was their only 24 fret/Floyd Rose guitar Maybe You should wait and see what Mike signature guitar will be like

The guitar I used in the beginning of "Speed Lives" is indeed a "stock" Dean Custom 450. It has 24 frets and a Floyd Rose. They still manufacture this guitar. The guitar that I have has a really great "Tiger Eye" finish. I have since installed new DiMarzio pick ups in it but when I filmed the "Speed Lives" DVD, it was a factory shipped Dean Guitar. EMG pick ups are standard on the Custom 450. Hope this clears things up.

If you would want EMG 81's in the Custom 450 I would think you would have to cut a hole in the guitar to fit the batteries. But when I was looking for a new guitar the last time I bought one I really seriously considered the Custom 450 but eventually I went for the ESP LTD KH-602... the Kirk Hammett signature But I think the time will come that I'll buy the Dean Custom 450

The Pups are the same size, but since the EMG81's are active they need a battery, and a couple of wires to Your backpocket would look silly ;D

i thought the emgs were the same size. They are most likely the same size but the hz is passive and therefore doesn't need batteries but the 81's are active and need batteries so you would have to make a place for them in your guitar
