Hey, just a thought, is it possible that playing the guitar too much (e.g. i.e. shredding) could damage your wrists/arms? I have heard of some people getting Carpel Tunnel Syndrome who used to play guitar, is there a strong link between the two?
How much each day do people think it is "safe" to practice each day, if it is true?!

If you watch your technique you won't develop injurys through playing. If you do experiance pain then stop an look at what your doing to cause this. I don't belive playing long hours can cause damage because i personaly practice 7 hours a day and make sure my wrists an fingers arn't in any awkward positions that may cause injuy. Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is caused by repetative strain on a nerve in your wrist it becomes iflamed and presses against your bones. Which is painful. I think thats what it is anyway.
