Hey Mike, I was just wondering what your views on Black Sabbath are... I mean, I loved Toni Iommi until I found you. You are the fastest guitarist ever!
Again what do you think of Toni Iommi, is he :good" in your opinion?
Also, if you have time, Can you reveal your picking techniques in this thread... I have yet to pick as fast as you...
Thanks,
Jeff

I have a local magazine that has Michael saying that Black Sabbath was the band that made him want to play.

I think Black Sabbath are as one person stated "The Godfathers of Metal". At the very least, they set the standard for great Metal songwriting. Even today they still sound really heavy! They wrote some of the greatest Metal riffs ever. Tony I was one of my favorite guitarists when I was growing up. Still is. I used to play a lot of Sabbath tunes in bands during my early years of guitar playing. I have always loved Ozzy's voice too. When I was 12 years old, I used to play the song "Wicked World" and learned Tony I's solo note for note. IMO, Black Sabbath is one of the greatest Rock bands ever.

Oh yeah, definetly, set the standard for everyone else, and basicially wrote up metal for other bands to follow. As people say, without Black Sabbath, there would be no metal.
