Hello MAB (and team) My question is about alternate picking on MAB's hand. Well I am right handed so I want to know of MAB's right hand when playing and his left picking hand as well. So like I was playing this morning (passion after midnight finished about 3 AM on cinemax) and I noticed I could play really well and fast using alternate picking (upstroke, downstroke, upstroke....) over three strings. However when i increased it to all 6 strings, though I still hit all the notes I wanted to play laser straight and precisely accurate, my speed reduced. Is this really normal since the number of strings and notes was now six instead of 3. When MAB plays those stuff(basically arpeggios) how fast does he play them? is it fast like sweeping them or just picking them up and down and up and so on at a normal speed? Thanks you guys. Metal!!!!!!!!

OK, I think I know what you mean. If you have trouble moving from 3 string shapes on to 4, 5 and 6 - try dividing the entire scale into different parts, each using only 3 strings. For example, go up the shape on your E A and D strings, then more of the shape on your A D and G, then more of it on your D G and B strings, then continue to the G B E combination. This should help you get used to switching strings from all parts of the scale, and all you'd have to do now is put the parts together. Hope this helps.
