I read the comment in the "ask Michael" thread about the double neck guitars, and figured that wasn't the appropriate place the continue, so I made this one. I too was wondering; why Dean doesn't manufacture the double neck guitars to the public? I'll bet someone could have a lot of fun with those, and probably nearly every Michael Angelo fan would like to get their hands on one. Is there any way to get one?

If I had the money for a MAB signature Double Axe it would look beautiful on my wall...
But since the Double axe is a true righthand guitar and a true lefthand guitar locked together, Dean could make a MAB signature guitar and offer both left and right handed models that You could lock together if You had both. That would also be one of the first sigature guitar offered both left and right handed.

I think blondies on the right track there. People want double-necks, Dean wants money...what better way than to make then buy two guitars?

Dean Guitars has had a lot of requests to build the Double-Guitar. The problem is the cost. My Double-Guitars are custom made at a cost of many thousands of dollars. Dean Guitars is trying to find a way to bring the cost down without sacrificing the quality. Thanks for posting.

Like I said earlyere (or something): Righthanded players buys the righthanded model Lefthanded players buys the lefthanded model Geeks, freaks and collectors buys both Makes it pretty safe for even smaller shops to take home at least one of each. The only thing that would add to the cost is the interlocking system. well.........I'm assuming that Your single axe will be the same as Your double axe. But what do I know...

Yes, I think it would be fun to have one, but do you think that you can truely make it your own. It would be like taking an Eddie Van Halen frankenstien guitar on stage, people wouldn't respect you figuring you where obssested. But take a wolfgang and it's no big deal because it wasn't as much of a trademark piece. Anyway, yes the V neck would be a kick in the pants, but everytime I see one I'll instantly think of Michael. It is a thin line. As far as it just being as simple as slapping two guitars together to create a V neck I'm not sure but I would think that a problem would be the renisaunce from the other half of the guitar mudding it up? Maybe, it sounds loggicle anyway, right. Anyway didn't mean to step on any toes somethings are just finelines.

It would be cool to have one, but I know it would be more of a collector for now. Just practicing one can be time consuming enough, so I can't imagine how long it would take to learn a double neck V. That would take patience to another level for me.

dean should definately sell the double guitars to the public, if its too expensive to mass produce them, dean should have something where people can order them.

I agree they should be available singularly left and right handed, but should be made so you can join them if you have both. That would be cool i want some...

You have to learn how to play both left- and right-handed before trying to play double guitar.
