I keep many different amps in my studio for various tones from sustained distortion to really clean and "pristine". I like to use several different kinds of Marshall amps for clean sounds as well as amps from a company called Framus. They are manufactured in Germany. I also use a Rocktron Voodoo Valve pre amp occasionally. I think the most important considerations are getting a crisp high end eq curve that is not too brittle and using either single coil pick ups or Humbuckers in the middle position. Compression is also a useful tool when getting a good clean sound.

I love foreign intstruments. By the time I retire, I want to have learned how to play sitar. It's such an odd little piece of work... with such a wide span of music capabilities
