I have played several different brands of guitars since I first started playing at age 10. As a teenager, I switched between a Fender Strat, a Gibson Les Paul and a Gibson Flying V. At the time, I didn't feel like any of these were exactly what I wanted so I tried Dean. That is the first company IMO that built a guitar the way I liked them. I have had Dean Guitars in my collection since then. I know both Grover Jackson and Wayne Charvel very well. I have at least a dozen Jackson and Charvel guitars that were custom made by Grover and Wayne themselves. As was stated I have only 1 Strat now. It is a Custom Shop Strat with SRV Texas Special pick-ups and a beautiful quilted Maple neck. Blondie, you would like this one. It is pink, technically called "Champagne Sparkle"! I also have tried Ibanez guitars but I don't really like the way the neck joins to the body. lMHO, it is too straight. Having written that, I do have 1 really nice Ibanez with EMG pick-ups in my collection. I don't play it very often but I think it is a great guitar as I think Ibanez is a great guitar company. I am very loyal to Dean Guitars. I have known Dean from my early years of playing. He is still with the company and I feel that he is a genius when it comes to designing, building and marketing guitars.
