My friend has it and never uses it..ill tell you why...He says you can hear crackles in the speakers when you click from the clean to distortion....unless you like crackling in your speakers i say go for it...I even tried it out for myself and found out that to be true....i even replaced the battery....So it wasnt that....I say use the POD man..You can get great sounds with that..

Remember that Yngwie uses it into a crancked 50 watts marshall (1987)

I though that the pedal was made to emulate the amp too (well thats what Yngwie says...)

I don't think so it's a modded DOD250, wich is OLD

well it's not meant to emulate the amp. all it is is an preamp booster (overdrive like effect) so you need amp distortion and then you add the YJM308 or DOD250 to make the tone smoother and more sustained.
TUBE AMPS... but also sounds nice with POD set to British Hi gain mode.
and the crackle in the speaker??? that's bull. probably amp problem or defective pedal. It's very smooth.

oh yeah and you need malmsteen-like pickups (hs-3) because they are very low output - with the DOD you get the perfect sound - whereas with high gain pickups and the DOD 250/YJM308 you get a sound that is too fuzzy and crackly

It's normally used the same way as the TS9. Just adifferent brand, name and sound, but same idea
