Hello everyone Just joined! Anywho im sure most of you are fairly adept guitar players. Now I would like to get some suggestions from you guys if you would be so kind! Right now im using an austin eclipse, 10 watt crate(you may start laughing nowlol), a turbo tube screamer and a cry baby wah. I was woundering if you guys know of some cheaper amps that would sound good and a guitar that has the most bang for the buck. I've been playing with this crap for the last 4 years and im not to fond of the tone/playabillity....yeah it's sad... thanx

That's a big question... let's try and narrow it down a bit What type of music do You play? Who are Your heroes? Do You use Your TS for boost or distortion? How many frets do You want/need? Floyd Rose / Vintage style vibrato or no vibrato? What pickup config; sss, hss, hsh or hh (h=humbucker, s=singlecoil)

im sorry i did leave that open ended lol I play alot of different music, but id have to say i shred alot lol My major influences are vai, malmsteen, hendrix, rhoads, and now michael(hes flippin amazing lol). Right now im using my TS for the main overdrive and using the amp to boost(because my amp has crappy ass overdrive lol) and most likely i'd use it to boost if the amp has nice clean distortion/overdrive on it. I've never really had the chance to use a whammy bar alot but id love to have one, preferably a floyd rose..and something that locks, tuners, nut whatever lol long as it helps keep it in tune. I'd like 24 frets but thats no big deal, but as far as pickups go i like humbuckers(not emgs though lol). I would like an ibanez jem but money is kind of an issue lmao and i hear michael's dean and im quite impressed with it so far...i dont know lol..

The only Deans with Floyd Rose (custom 450) , also has EMG So guess You should check cheap Ibanez. Or maybe a Kramer f.ex. a striker (I have one and before I dropped it on the floor and broke the neck it played great) www.musicyo.comIf You don't need the Floyd (remember that setup and stringchange can be a pain in the a$$) Dean has loads of great and cheap guitars, like the Vendetta, the Babys, Cadillac, Hardtails etc. www.deanguitars.comoh I forgot that Dean has also some Dimabag tribute/signature guitars with Floyd Rose, not using EMG. btw, I never care much for the stock pickups, as mostly I wanna put DiMarzio pick-up in anyway. As for amps with those heroes it's a Marshall type amp You want, though Vai now uses his Carvin signature amps (worth checking out as they are fairly priced www.carvin.com ). Also check out Laney. Don't forget to try everything in Your local shop (no, not the bakery, that'll only make You look like Malmsteen ;D ups sorry ;D) Good Luck (and feel free to ask whatever You need to know) on Your quest for tone

lol that was great hehe thanx all our local shop has is crate amps and some schecters(or however thats spelt) and as far as the price goes i havent been impressed, the 700$ guitars dont play much better than my austin lmao I've got to mess with those legacy amps vai made and it doesnt seem to matter what you plug in, you sound like vai lol Any comments on the Line 6 spider 2?(i heard it's fairly versitile tone wise) hehe they should name a dounut shop after malmsteen

Sorry to go off topic (again) but has anyone seen new pictures of Malmsteen? He's actually back to his normal size now. Pretty impressive.
