I have a WASHBURN EC29M6 "George Washburn Signature Series" and a Yamaha Pacifica (but the washburn is my better guitar that i use) and I am planning to buy a new Ibanez sometime either a JEM77B or one of the S series.
Thanks

Gibson and Ibanez. Next will probably be a Dean, and after that a Fender. I also have a POS Peavey Raptor 1 that my ex gf gave me, but that doesnt really count, as it feels like its made of plastic

Dean Baby ML Epiphone Les Paul and my old squier strat I've got a Squier Strat too - it's from when they still made them in Japan, before Mexico started making them. The thing I like about it is the tones I can get from the middle and neck pickups. My other guitar is a Heavy Metal Strat which is a lot better, but the only thing I don't like on it is the tones I get from the single coil pickups in the middle and neck postion - so I just use the bridge position humbucker on that one. Would it be possible to get a Squier neck position pickup to put into the HM Strat? Or would it not sound the same because of the construction of the guitar? Actually the HM Strat is more similar to an Ibanez than to a traditional Strat.

You guys must be loaded or something, you guys have like 3 guitars! anyway.... im trying so hard to save up for a Steve Vai Ibanez JEM77B which here is really really expensive for a guitar here in Autstralia which is $5,495 which in American is probably around ...... $3800 or something depending on what the dollar is worth ..... anyway thanks....

My squier is a total piece of garbage. I got it for Christmas after bugging my parents when I was about 11. I learned 5 or 6 chords and then never touched it until I started uni... then I had a phase and bought my Les Paul, which I played for about a month and then gave up on it again, until around 6 months ago. Then I saw the light, and have been playing non stop since. Definitely won't be dropping it again now! Anyway I'm not sure where mine was made, it's an affinity model though. But it's totally beaten up. It appears I abused it horribly whilst learning those 5 chords. The electrics are garbled, it just sounds all static if I try to use anything other than the neck pickup, and even on the neck it sounds horrible. I'd get someone to look at it, but it's not really worth the money it would cost to do so I think. If the construction of the guitars is different, using the squier pickup in the HM would probably not sound the same. I'm definitely no expert but I think it would probably make a difference...

Thanks for the reply, Succubus. Sorry your Squier isn't in exactly great shape I think it might be one of the Mexican models then. I heard they weren't very good, but the Japanese ones were pretty good. Still, it's definitely not professional quality. It goes out of tune really easily for one thing. But I can get some cool sounds out of it The HM Strat is definitely better though.
