No posts in a while, may as well contribute. Axe number 4: Only the 2nd decent one though. I saw the 27 fret neck and couldn't resist. I'm only 2 away from MAB now. ;D (Although the notes barely even sound past 25...)

Nice! That's just like my Cali! Awesome. Sadly I just had to return it. Too many issues with the licensed floyd, and the high frets were pretty unplayable so the gimmick kind of wore off. On the plus side I scraped some more cash together and sold a guitar and will be getting very nice new axe at a great price. I'll keep it a secret for now.

I suppose I'll update mine since I too recently obtained a new guitar =D Here is my ESP LTD M207, 7 string guitar with rosewood fretboard, Seymour Duncan designed(they're like chinese knockoffs of Seymour Duncans, I bought this guitar for like $150) and a double locking tremolo licensed under Floyd Rose. Next is my Dean RC8X 8 string guitar, my pride and joy! It has an ebony fretboard, EMG808 active pickups, standard bridge(not sure what the official name for those kinds are) and a super deep cutaway at the bottom horn for easier access to the frets which comes standard with all Rusty Cooley signature models. This thing can handle anything from the likes of Meshuggah to Michael Angelo Batio =D kind of bummed it doesn't have a Floyd Rose in it but it's well worth the money still. Attachments:

It's almost the same colour as Spider-Man in the poster behind your TV.

I resisted asking if you bought it on the web, that's too crap even for me.
I think your TV is in danger though.

Haha ;D Dammit Steve, I can't remember seeing any pictures of one of your guitars ever??? It would be cool to see sometime, do you still have the RG and the other guitar with EMG's? If everything goes as planned I will post a "guess the box" soon

@ Emil- I actually had a photo of my RG on my old computer but when it crapped out, I lost all the files. I'm in 2 minds whether to sell the guitar or not actually cos I hardly ever use the trem and it's annoying re-string the thing and setting the intonation.
The JR4 (the guitar with the EMG's) has gone. I sold the EMG's, Sperzels and other non-Maverick parts and the money is in a "new equipment" pot. I was going to sell the guitar as it is but there's no call for it, so I recycled the body and neck.
@ Erik- I meant the joke was too crap for me!

This is my guitar. ESP M-II with EMG81 at the Bridge and EMG60 at the Neck. I like this "Understatement" of this simple looking axe, i think it's just decent and cool looking. No extraordinary Bindings, Graphics or Maple tops;) The Rosewood Fingerboard was "ebonized" with Stewmacs Oil Dye. Attachments:

Right now.. just getting a very little on my feet. I just got a Squire Jim Root Tele. The white one. Didn't know it was his as the sig is on the back of the headstock, lol... and I didn't look, lol. Not that I am all that familiar with him or slipknot... so that wouldn't have been a factor, anyway. Although I am starting to give an occasional listen to them. But, the guitar just somehow is great. Never thought I would buy a tele in a million years... but, for some reason this just called to me. Ps... this isn't my image. I could only dream of that many guitars, lol! But, this is the exact one I got, lol.

Erikrt123, nice, I had no idea there was a Squire-version of his sig Reading "Slipknot" on this board makes me think of Steve, where the hell is he?

It is suoper nice man. The satin finish just makes it feel great. The pups even, thou not the EMG's are real nice.. They handle real heavy distortion and pick up sequels and stuff like no ones business. Never been a fan of teles.. but... this one just has a vibe to it. Yeah.. good old Steve, lol. I was wondering about him too the other day. Hope he is doing well. He deffo liked Slipknot. I never really gave them a chance because of the outfits and stuff. I have heard one song off their new album... Thou, the vid is pretty twisted.. the music is pretty cool. This Jim Root fella seems to be a pretty decent guitar player. I ordered his DVD from Fret 12 just out of curiosity. I might go for some Tremonti ones next, lol. Not a fan of a million tunings... I could never afford enough guitars for that, lol. But, he is another real good player.

I've never been a fan of Slipknot either, I like some of their songs though.
Yes, both of their guitarists are actually a fair bit better guitar players than most people know.
I'm going to buy a "real" Tele, the traditional setup. But I will probably get an Ibanez RG first, I will post some pictures when thats done!

So I finally picked up this RG550 a few days ago. This is my favourite in the RG550 line, I love the black body with maple fretboard. Only thing that would make it even better is if it had off set dots instead of standard in center. Anyway, I found this one locally, which came as a surprise since I live in a small city, finding a guitar that is exactly the one you're after doesn't happen often here. So I couldn't resist And after a pickup swap, I hade a few pickups laying around collecting dust, so I thought they would serve a better purpose in this guitar
