The Wizard II/Prestige neck is great for sure.
I'd love to play on a Super Wizard necked Ibanez guitar, cos it's 3mm THINNER than the Prestige!!!!

Hey Jeff, that Amp of yours is a toy box compared to the quality of guitar you have in the blue Welcome to the forum btw!!!

lol, it sounds pretty good actually. But yeah, I've maxed out my guitar budget for a while...
I'll be off at college this fall so getting a new amp is gonna have to wait a while, lol. I doubt I'll bring the soloist with me, don't wanna have it stolen from my dorm, yikes... not a pleasant thought.
Did you notice the amp behind the DXMG there, its a 1959 Gibson 6 :-).

That blue soloist is one hot bitch for sure.
With that slick ebony board, it must be a dream to play!
What p/ups are in it?
I think the Jackson standard is to have a Jazz model in the neck?
BTW- Are you a north american sports fan? Please say you are cos there are only about 7 of us on here who are! D'ya think Calvin Johnson is the real deal etc?

The soloist totally kicks the DXMG's ass in terms of playability and tone (and it better... for $2,000!). Not that the Japanese models aren't good guitars, for a midrange model its great! I really can't say enough about the compound radius fretboard, after 5-6 hours of playing my old guitar my fret hand would get really tired when playing riffs near the top of the neck (towards headstock). No such problems with the soloist though, its got enough there to grip it for riffs and it gets thinner at the bottom where you need extra room to curve your hand around.
Originally I mentioned that I was interested in a soloist to the manager of a guitar center in south bend Indiana, he said that even if I didn't buy it... it'd be worth having in the store to look at, lol. At first it was gonna be trans red with gold hardware but they wanted to charge me the full custom shop price... even though the USA selects are made in the same building by the same people, lol. They argued over the price for most of the year I eventually caved when the manager said he could have a trans blue on in 3 days. He threw in a cable and some music notation software for free! It pays to be nice to the manager... lol.
The pickups are as Brian stated, the JB TB4 brdige... suprisingly hot, but still has great tone, and the 59 in the neck. That seems to be the standard setup these days. I did hear about some with Jazz models in the neck... not sure if its a diff. pup or just different term for the same one. It sounds great though...
I will honestly never buy a bolt on again... well ok, maybe if it was pretty ;D, lol.
To Slartibartfast - Actually to tell you the truth, you'd think since I'm a 17 year old american male I'd be crazy into sports... I watch the occasional football game or baseball game, but I actually played soccer for 11 years... how crazy is that.
Keep the pics coming!

I have some pretty odd settings on my crate to get the sound I like...
Rhythm Channel (Mid-Gain, but eq also works on the Solo Channel) High: 3 o'clock Mid: 2 o'clock Low: 3 o'clock
Solo Channel Shape: All the way down (cuts mids=bad) Gain: 2 o'clock
I barely even get to turn the thing up a quarter of the way... its plenty loud for my basement.... I tried to get the same delay setup as michael with my Boss DD6, its not right though, lol.
I'd really like a JSX head those are sweet!

Wow, that's an odd tone setting.
High- 8 Mid- 7 Low- 8
You could get the JSX combo if you don't get the money for the Head & a Cab.
That'd probably blow your house up, but hey- it's a great way to die! Lol.

The amp was made for retarded nu metal kids... so I conpensate for the total lack of mids by boosting them like crazy, lol.
