My '89 Hamer Californian. Used to have a thick clear red coat on it. Sanded that crap off, stained the alder and polyed it. It has a DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge and the DiMarzio Chopper is going in the neck VERY soon. The neck on this one is super thin. Plays like butter. This is definitely my favorite. My '95 Dean Ultimate V. A little beat up but I love this guitar. The stock Dean pickups rock surprisingly. My custom Galveston. This guitar is the ***. It's like a shredder's Les Paul. Thick guitar and neck. Really comfortable though. I've got a DiMarzio D-Activator X in the neck and A Seymour Duncan Dimebucker in the bridge. Planning on getting a DiMarzio Cruiser or something a little more clean for the middle. Oh and it has coil splitting! This guitar is super fun to play. My brand spankin' new Ibanez RG350YM. Just got this today. What can I say... I've wanted a guitar like this for quite some time now. Love maple necks. That paired with the basswood body is rather bright tonally. The stock pickups are horrible though. Getting rid of those soon and slappin' in some DiMarzios. Evolution (neck), Pro Track (middle), and the tried and true Tone Zone (bridge). The neck on this thing is unbelievably comfortable. Real flat radius too. Mmm! My '85 Dean Hollywood Z. This thing's been around! Cool little guitar with an original Kahler tremelo on it. Really strange little bridge. No pickups in it right now. I took out the Tone Zone and put it in my Hamer and sold the X2N. I might put a set of Seymour Duncans in it. Jazz (neck) and JB (bridge). Love the old school feel of this guitar. Reeks of the 80's. My first guitar! A B.C. Rich bronze series Warlock with the widow headstock. It used to be black but a few years ago I wanted to paint it neon yellow. I seriously effed up on some parts of the body so I need to redo it again. I just need to bear through it and get it done. I miss playing this guitar. My craptastic Yamaha Strat copy. A friend of mine got me to sand it down and do a bunch of prep crap to it years ago. I even went and scalloped the entire neck! Turned out pretty sweet. It's been at my house for like 3 years now so I'm just assuming it's mine at this point. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. My Squier P-Bass. It was black, sanded it down and polyed it. Stained the headstock to match. This thing honestly sounds like *** but it's all I have bass wise right now to record with. My... lol... My Esteban acoustic my mom bought for me a few years ago. It's alright I suppose. It's got a little built in tuner and preamp. Esteban even signed it to me! lolol But yeah... I never really play the thing. That's all of em. ;D

Here are two basses I no longer have but REALLY miss: Me back in '03 and my old '83 Tokai P-Bass. That bass kicked ass. Sadly I got a loan for it a few years ago and could never pay it back. I really REALLY miss it. My warlock I messed with it and my old Peavey BXP NTB 5-string bass. That bass was killer. Sexy neck through mahogany and maple neck and a bubinga (I think) body. But I lost this at the same time that I lost my Tokai P-Bass. F pawn shops. I'll never do that again.

3/9 are Saving up to upgrade them. That Hamer is still awesome. I think I like it better with the "natural" finish!

Yeah definitely! I could see it had some beautiful wood through the clear red coat it had on it. I'm glad I did a good job on it. ;D

Just started playing again after a few life problems, hand injuries and a 16 year hiatus. I can't find any pictures of my old guitars or rig so here's my current 6er: Not a brand you see much in the US but they're very good guitars all in all - have a review: www.shred-reviews.co.uk/electric-guitar/lag-arkane-a200st/

Oooo! That looks nice! Welcome btw! ;D Cheers It's a cheap (£300 in the UK) LAG Arkane A200ST - very good hardware for the money (Floyd Rose special, EMG passives etc) that simply needs a good set-up to be a nice guitar.

The body reminds me of an Ibanez S series. But yeah that's pretty damn nice for the money!

@ TheLivingDead- Thal fan? You will have his combo of choice (in his body wood of choice) in your Hamer californian. I just wondered whether that's intentional or accidental.
@ ShadyDave- I like Lag. They are good value for money. I've played guitars that are twice the price yet half the quality.

Funny you'd say that! I LOVE Ron Thal, but I picked this setup on my own. I found out that he had almost the exact same deal going on right before I ordered my Chopper. I knew then that it was a good decision! Speaking of which... Just popped it in a few hours ago! I love it's sound. Really smooth but clear. The added treble is a nice touch. The first sound clip on Dimarzio's site nails it. That's exactly what it sounds like and I really dig it. It really does pair well with the TZ too. Nice cleans too. It has a bit of a straty quack and pop to it. Love it. ;D

Tada! Got a Tone Zone in the bridge, Fast Track 2 in the middle and a D-Activator X in the neck. This thing destroys now! ;D Almost the perfect guitar for me. Now... Anybody got any zebra striped spandex I can have?

I see you got your new pups in... can you do some audio of clean... and distorted of each of the pups? I would much appreciate it. I am looking to by the pups for my guitar today... or tomorrow... I am leaning toward the PAF Pro's.. but not 100% sure... it is between the PAF's and the tone zone... but I am not sure what I would put with it, ha ha!

I put in some two tone red and black pups in in the RGA-121 I just haven't took pics of it yet. I will try to record something but for now I will say this. If you want a smoother sound with medium output then the Paf's are the way to go. For a harder and higher gain sound then the tone zone is the way to go. The norton is a mixed bag and like it the same as the Paf in the neck. for an older video of me playin my PGM with the Paf's see this vid. It's old and I play better than that now.

The PGM's have gotten awful expensive I never use my middle pickups which is sad since 6 or so of my guitars have em I am still diggin the PGM-401 so I might have to add that one to the stable. Plus it doesn't have a middle pup LOL. I already have a Suhr guitar budgeted but that's after I move into the new house.
