I'd love to do it, but i know i couldnt give it my no.1 devotion, as guess what thats taken up buy! Maybe i could do it, who knows. I'd love to do kung fu. I imagine it would take years of training though.

It doesnt require dedication at the start, as im guessing you want it to be a hobby, and not as a way of life?

Thats a pity, you need to practice it for months, then it starts to get better.

This thread has inspired me! I may even think about research into some lessons, but if i were to start then i would need to take it seriously, as as with guitar, i dont think theres much point to a lot of things if you don't take it serious! I would definitly have to begin with a mate though.

Hey man, if you have a hunch for JKD go for it, i have tried many martial arts, ninjutsu, wushu, aikido, bjj, kick boxing, muay thai, finally I got a hunch for Taekwondo and I've never looked back, it's just what I like best. In this case what you like. Find it and go for it.

You guys are bumping a REALLY old thread, a thread that has been around a lot longer than I have on the forums but aside from that I'd actually like to see some more updated responses, networking about martial arts is a good thing to discuss in my opinion as it gives insight on technique and philosophy from multiple directions. I personally have a blackbelt in the Seido-kan sub style of karate. It's nothing super fancy, just your standard karate self defense style. However I've also studied some Krav Maga, Jiu Jitsu, Judo and Tae Kwon Do along side of Seido-kan. The only "official" ranking I have in martial arts is in Seido-kan but I've learned various techniques from other martial arts styles so I don't discriminate on what style is best. Honestly whatever works best for you is your best style, and that's my philosophy.
