The WAMI's were awesome! Michael and I didn't win any awards this year, but there were some afflilates of my agency that did! They are listed on my site. Michael's performance with Jim Peterik was fantastic. The media is still coming in with rave reviews, calling their stage slot the best of the evening.

Brilliant! I'm glad it went well, and not so surprised that they're saying Michael and Jim were the best... even though I don't know who else performed ;D ;D

Yes, I've been playing "catch-up" ever since Monday. I think I may be on Tuesday now... It takes a whole year of planning for the WAMI's. It's an exhausting process for the directors, but every year, we're back to do it again! Knowing how much time it takes to plan this 2-day event is the reason I feel an urgency to plan the MAB Gathering now. Time goes by sooooo fast! 2 years is nothing.

Succubus, to answer your question "how was it"? The show was great. Jim Peterik has written dozens of really BIG, hit songs. "Eye of the Tiger" from the movie Rocky III, "Hold on Loosely" by 38 Special, "Vehicle" and the list goes on and on. I recorded guitar tracks for a CD he was working on a few years ago and we became friends. We performed one of my songs "Gotta Run" and then one of his, "Eye of the Tiger". Jim has a really good, soulful voice. We had a great time performing. I first talked to Jim about the show then Deb contacted Jim's agent and put the performance together.

Sounds Great!!! But now I am more bummed that I didn't go ... I love 'Gotta Run'! That solo is great as it has a fantastic hook, starts out slow and groovey and then shreds, backs off, then hits warp speed again. Not to mention it is just a great sounding and memorable solo! I saw Jim with Survivor in 1984 opening up for REO Speadwagon in Detroit. I had 3rd row center seats at Joe Lois Areana. Jim realy can belt it out and has a great talent at writingl

When I saw this thread, I thought perhaps you were talking about artists, actors, etc. Or maybe just forum members who haven't been here for a while .
