(discussion not a clip)
well I'm in the process of writing my cheesy instrumental album! I've got 6 full tracks ready (I had another but it was 15 and a half minutes long of freaky shred and metal riffs which didnt suit the album because i'm not going for a metal feel). The album has a style to it but i'm not sure what to class it as, it has rock drums, synths, shred, and cheesy riffs.
When it is finished I should have the album uploaded to iTunes via tunecore and ready for sale. I'm thinking of pricing it at £5 (10.3135 U.S. dollars as of the moment).
When it's finished and recorded, I will put links to the Itunes download on my myspace and 30-60 second clips on the myspace music player. Then promote my arse off.
It will take a fair few more months probably to finish, i'm not rushing, maybe more as I'm doing the recording, mixing, mastering all at home myself.
theres some 16nps long licks and such to look forward to (16 will push me UBER EXTREMELY hard) and if I record and its not 99-100% clean. I'm deleting the track and trying again...no matter how long it takes to get it right.
I really want something I can be proud of by the end.
A hefty task for me (especially cleanliness of picking because that is something im still working on), I don't care if i sell 1 or a thousand. (probably 1 is more realistic ) it's just something I would like to do.
updates coming soon!
EDIT: by the way, as the faster parts won't be first take it probably won't be a true measure of my playing ability at the present time, because i wont be able to do it that well every time, but I aren't planning on touring with it lol so that doesn't matter to me. It will be for listening purposes only.
