Right!! Took me some time but I finally got No Boundaries down with the tapping section at the end!. It’s not perfect, a few mistakes here and there! But you can see that there’s no way I fluffed my way through this. I didn’t spend much time practicing this. I’ve practiced this on and off in the past and it was about a month ago I realised that I'll be able to somewhat nail this.
I managed to get some time to record a video! ;D Here:
##Sorry guys and gals remove video for now!!##
Btw: As you probably can tell I did not use anything special for this just:
Guitar > Boss BR532 > 12 Practice amp (plug in and play! ;D) (midi backing track)
Comments please!!! Suggestions?
Cheers All!

Pretty cool.
I liked the variations (free time, rubato & notation changing in places) but all the parts that IMO needs to be "as written", were, so i liked it!
Your pick hand is identical to George Bellas, are you a fan of his or is that your natural style, or maybe both?
"No Boundaries" is way harder than it seems cos it's 1 of Mike's slower paced songs but the alt picking and sweeping are very difficult, i can't get either up to speed (espescially the septuplet sweeps @ 200bpm- ouch!).
Whereabouts in London are you from Ryan, you better be an Arsenal fan too! Lol.

That tapping part was great. I don't think I've ever seen anyone nail it that well. I've seen videos where people can't do over-under so instead they'll improv something that doesn't sound right or tap something randomly until the part was over. The tapping sounded on par with the CD version, very cool Though you say you haven't practiced too much on it it sounds like you've got it down enough to play it live in front of people.

Cheers Steve! I’m from East London near Excel. George Bellas.. It’s been ages since I’ve listened to his stuff! Yea! I never realised it’s identical to Bellas. My picking seemed to naturally get that way! I remember when I started practicing more properly trying to keep my picking hand in a certain position but after a while I said F this and then let it do it’s own thing! UP THE HAMMERS!!!! ;D Though you say you haven't practiced too much on it it sounds like you've got it down enough to play it live in front of people. Thanks SendHelp! I definitely feel comfortable playing it the way I do but I also know that if I actually practiced it properly it would be much better. I’m also using really crap equipment. All going through old 12 Watt amp! I will spend more time practicing this song only if I was going to play it live. The way I would practice it then would be a different story. My main aim here was to just get it down. ;D

Right on man, That was very cool. Im trying to learn this as well, Ive been playing a few years but dont think I can pick fast enough though, but I can play it slower. hehe. How long did it take you before you could do the alternate picking like that?

Missed a few notes at the beginning, and it sounded like you slowed down at about 2:40, but an otherwise perfect performance. I especially liked the tapping part.

Would like a little less delay and gain, but that's a very good cover!

Ages!!! one question, didnt the strap get annoying against your arm when you were position shifting? hehe All I can say for this is - Yes! Yea! My timing on this.. well.. needs improvement! But now that I have it down I certainly can work on that. Cheers dude! I totally agree with you. There needs to be a lot of changes in the settings that I used here. I used a factory-patch on the boss BR532 which is supposed to be played through stereo setup. Also having the backing coming through the amp too, doesn’t help. I have hardly any choice as far as equipment. I didn’t spend any time at all fiddling about with settings because I was not trying to create any MAB tone or anything.

well...it was on a whole very good!! but a few improvements you could make::: intro was bad in places, timing issues mostly then the triads... do you have MAB's speed lives?? its hard to tell from the vid but it looks like you dont move your first finger from the 1st note to play the third note on the high E. it looks like on some parts of the triads your fingers are fumbling all over the place. only 3 fingers need to be used. - a little too much delay but everything else was abosolutley great, especially the tapping. how long did it take to work out the tapping?? its a shame MAB dosnt do the tapping bit live overall 9/10. just improve those little things and it will be perfect.

then the triads... ........ just improve those little things and it will be perfect. how long did it take to work out the tapping?? Thanks Bat fastard! If this is the part your taking about I play it like this: ______S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__ E||--------10----------11-------15-13-11-------------| B||-----11----11----13----13-------------15-13-11----| G||--12----------14----------12-------------------14-| D||--------------------------------------------------| A||--------------------------------------------------| E||--------------------------------------------------| I think it should be like: ___S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__S__ --------10----------11-------15-13-11-10----------|| -----11----11----13----13----------------13-11-10-|| --12----------14----------12----------------------|| --------------------------------------------------|| --------------------------------------------------|| --------------------------------------------------|| Next time I'll probably change it this way. IMO the intro that I did.. not good at all! I know I have no problem with the improvements its just finding the time and being bothered to actually do it! Tapping part, how long.. well I started practicing it about a month ago. Few minutes a day or so. Overall about 4-6 hours if you add it together.

I thought the variations were intentional with the free time, rubato & changed notation.
The 1st tab in your post seems more the way Mike would play it since he favours 3NPS patterns & it takes him back up to the G-string with his pinky on the 14th fret, then the ring finger for the 12th fret.
