I just discovered them a few minutes ago. I was talking to a friend on the phone and I asked him if he thought glam metal was ever comin' back and he mentioned Black Veil Brides. I went to youtube abd chose one of their videos at random to watch. It has over 22 MILLION VIEWS! They look more lie Motley Crue than anyone I've seen in many years! I'm impressed that somebody is actually once again taking the effort to not just play rock music but to look the part as well instead of just looking like some random guys in the audience. They're not just playing rock but they're also looking the part of rock stars. They look like they're dressed for not just any old rock club that's a dive, but instead they look like they're dressed to play a major arena and to give the audience a real show! Making Black Veil Brides are the first signal of rock getting huge again like in the 70's, 80's and early 90's before rock started crumbing away while rockers let country, pop. and especially rap and hip-hop take it's place as the musical choice of people, especially the youth of our society.
Gene Simmons has said that rock stars forgot to look like rock stars -they forgot to show off their expensive cars, their big houses, and always be surrounded by beautiful women. Meanwhile, rappers started doing all of that along with literally showing off their cash, throwing a big stack of bills into the air - "making it rain." Rappers even invented a word for all these things they showed off - BLING! So between rappers and rockers, guess who the next generation of kids decided to listen to and try their best to emulate?
