Hello users of the forum, has anybody purchased troy grady cracking the code, where he does an in depth analysis of some of the best guitar players, and how they achieve the speed?

I didn't buy it but I went to the site and looked at some of the MAB stuff and Rusty Cooley stuff. There is no "magic technique" that all the great fast players have. If there were, they wouldn't all pick so differently. Mike Orlando of Mike Portney's Adrenaline Mob is a fast guitarist but he wastes a ridiculous amount of movement with his stiff arm technique. He looks like he's playing faster than he is. He makes so much extra, unneeded movement that it looks like he's playing faster than he is. Watch one of his videos and you'll see what I mean. Then turn close your eyes during the fast parts and he doesn't sound any faster or even as fast as Yngwie. Yet to look at him he looks like he's playing much faster. A lot of guitarists achieve speed using totally different techniques. So there is no way of "cracking the code."

Very good points, I definitely agree.
And with the example of Mike Orlando, is very clear everyone achieves speed differently.
