Now that I am back with the program. I am starting to look at good instruction DVD's... any recommendation? I am not looking for shred stuff. Or strictly leads either. Leads involving a normal song not an instrumental is cool, but, I am takin a more laid back approach this time... I mean I have already gone threw all that MAB ones, Paul Gilbert, Jeff Loomis.. so on and so forth. I would rather learn normal band orientated songs from the artists themselves. No jazz please. No insult... but it just isn't my bag... even if some of the best players and some of my very favs studied it.. it just isn't something I personally can get into... with in and of itself.
On that same end.. well kinda... where is a good place to get tab? I have power tab... but, no other of that kind of software. I would like to get accurate stuff. Also, where is a good place for backing tracks? I haven't really ever used my computer for these types of things... but I think it is time to start using technology to my advantage as long as it is all legal and doesn't infringe on rights and all that. I used to do everything by ear... but it would be cool... to expand my horizons, my playing, and since I haven't worked with a band in years... it would be fun to jam to and over things...
