Hi Everyone! I'm back and will post much more often now. I have a brand new website on line. Check it out and sign up for the free MAB newsletter. Also, I'll be going on a 30 city tour of Europe with a back up band starting March 24th through the month of April. We will post all of the concert dates on my site. I'll also be doing a lot of shows in the USA this year like 2015. My set lists in both the USA and Europe are focusing on my original material. I'm only doing a few of my Tributes in the shows. The mix is about 85% Original and 15% Tributes. I am doing songs like "Freight Train," "Long Way From Home," both instrumentally and with vocals, depending on the show, plus songs from my band "Holland" such as "Gotta Run," "Basics of the Bullet" and more. I'm also doing my instrumental song "Prog." I can't wait to perform these songs in my set! I hope to have your support at the shows and on my site! Thanks again! :-)

MAB will be playing songs live from his ENTIRE catalog. I have not seen him perform any NITRO songs since I saw Nitro at the Thirsty Whale back in the early 90's. The shows this year will be a MUST SEE for any MAB fan!!!!!

Hey Mike, This is great news, especially about the USA tour! Is there any possibility that Jim Gillette would be willing to join you onstage for when you perform Nitro songs?
These are a couple Nitro songs I would love to hear live again!
First, "Take Me" has such an incredibly catchy chorus and so melodic! The guitar solo is more of an instrumental section and totally unlike any of your other solos - very unique! I'm including the link for he benefit of younger forum members who might not have heard these songs.
"Hot, Wet, Dripping' With Sweat" is also very unique, has a speed metal tempo and an absolutely INTENSE GUITAR SOLO!! I soundalike you're playing in the range only violins are supposed to be able to reach!
Finally, "Don't Go" is not about guitar pyrotechnics. What it is is the best ballad you ever wrote! This song should have been played on the radio once every hour on the hard rock stations. I don't know how this song didn't become a huge hit because it has such a beautiful melody and lyrics!

This is good news. I hope that you will also include Scandinavia in your European tour.. would be killer to see you live again. The last time (and the only time) I saw you live was when I was under 18 - I'm 28 now :-) Didn't post here for a long, long time and when I finally did a few years ago, I realized that there were almost none of the old folks left from the old MAB forum days. What discouraged me from posting more was that I posted a topic that was about a sensitive subject, and that was deleted without a warning or without any PM explaining why that was done. Let's just say that it had to do with Jim Gillette and his family, and he has already answered all those questions. I think thats about what's proper to say on the subject. All that aside, here I am again, at least for this one post once again, like anyone cares lol.
Not sure that I ever shared this memory on this forum, but back in 2004 Michael did a guitar clinic here in Finland. Before that I mailed quite a bit with his then-manager (or something?) Deb and tried to find a way to buy Mike's albums, because I didn't have credit card and my parents wouldn't let me to use their's on the Internet. When Mike did his show here, out of the blue he gave me a bunch of his CDs + some extra stuff for free, because I was part of the MAB street team and also did some extra stuff that most of the fans probably didn't (mainly Nitro fan site, etc..). To this day I think that was awesome, and that's one of the reasons why I'll always be an MAB fan, and will always promote MAB's work.
Also, he's that awesome a guitar player.. :-)

Yes, not long to go now. Just to remind you that Tailgaters is on the 2nd June not the 6th, don't turn up on the wrong day! It's good you got to see Ac Dc before Brian lost his hearing, your lucky. I saw them live back in 1991 Razors Edge Tour at the Birmingham NEC, Kings X opened, great show.

You're right about the Tailgater's show. I am going to take that week as a vacation so I can go to the show. Even though it's only a 3 1/2 hour drive it sounds like a good week to take off.
The Ac Dc show was the first time I saw them. Glad I finally went to see them. Great show.2 hours of straight ahead music.

I bought the disc on iTunes a couple days ago. Very good release. I have listened to it 4 times from start to end and it seems to get better each listen. Can't wait until I can get a hard copy for listening to while driving.

I'm going to buy the download off Amazon tomorrow, I've been really busy this week with work and a million other things. I can listen to the album over Easter in peace.

I've listened to the album a few times and it sounds great. I like really like the new songs and even the classic songs sound a bit different. I left a review on Amazon uk. Looking forward to getting the disk as well so I can play it in the car.
