To each his own. Regarding Michael being the fastest, I'm sure there are faster guitarists but Michael has something more important, accuracy! ... I would say MAB is the most accurate guitarist I have ever heard. A lot of players are fast and sloppy, Michael is truly fast and extremely accurate

MAB says the exact same thing about speed! he stresses in his interviews, and people write about in the forum, that speed just helps him be himself.

Ya know guys! I don't think it is very important what these people say. As long as they keep it off of this forum. I personally don't see the piont in posting stuff like this on our forum, either. It just instagates trouble.

I was looking for some michael angelo tabs and i found this and i tho i should share what i found with you guys, i think that we should know what others are saying about Michael, i understand that we belong to this forum is cause we really like his playing his personality and the way he behave with us, we all know Michael is cool i know him personally but i don't think the word "instagates trouble" is correct here cause we are not going to do anything about it we just basicly found that his name is everywhere wich mean is good if someone speak about you good or bad that mean they are considering you as someone important , if no one talk about you that mean you are ignored, so anyway i hope you did not mean that i was looking for trouble i just want to share what i found.

This is nothing new. We see forum posts all the time with one sided opinions about Michael. The important thing is that they are taking notice.

The debates tend to be the same everywhere. Who's faster than Michael? Not who's faster than Yngwie or whoever. Michael explains his reason for speed at clinics, just as he explains the use of a double guitar. Does he need them? No.

More important to me, is his list of "firsts".

He was the first to be labeled as fastest guitarist.
He was the first to invent the double V guitar.
He was the first to invent the MAB over/under technique.

Lots of guitarists are fast and great players. If Michael has made the lasting impression we think he has, some of you will be the next fastest, best guitarist that people will bash on forums.

Example: Luke is fastest, but Blondie has better tone and owns Luke. Naaaa, they both ***. Everyone knows Erikrt123 is faster and has the best tone. However, Tick does the MAB over/under better than these guys. ;D ;D ;D

You know this is what i found interesting about this as Deb just mentioned is not about who is faster but who was creative and who invented in top of that for example if someone start a conversation about my abilities to play and they talk negatives stuff that really make me, be better each day to prove myself no to anyone else that i can be better each day, if you know who you are and trust yourself there is not reason to worry about, again there is always someone better that the other one but not necesarily in all aspects,again as Deb mentioned you can have the better sweep pickings but you ***s as alternate, maybe your tone is really bad but you play super fast or maybe super fast and sloopy so there is always good and bad things, what we should do and say should cause is up to the person is just become better and better once you feel comfortable with it, that is all anyway we like Michael and that is what it count.

Ernesto makes an excellent point. Each guitarist has his or her own abilities. Michael has set a bar for guitarists to aspire to better themselves at specific things, like speed, perfect picking technique and the MAB over/under to name a few. His DVD's are overflowing with advice and instruction.

I encourage you to learn from the master, absorb his influence, then ultilize what he has taught you to be yourselves and create that next new sound!

Michael, Satch, Slash, Vai...all sound completely different and have their own signature sound to present their talent. None of these artists ever compare themselves to the other. Each knows what they do is unique to itself.

Guitar would be quite dull if everyone sounded exactly like the other, using the same methods, tones and speed.

Personally, my favorite, is when Michael occasionally picks up an acoustic guitar and plays a slow melodic song. It's so flawless, it's mesmerizing!

A lot of people refer him to songs like freight train, full force and no boundaries which are very fast, he also has bluesy melodic songs such as the finish line and 2xagain, he has covered a lot of aspects and methods of playing, when i put on 2x again for my BF, he was mesmerised and hooked, and here we are both today backing our hero.
