This may seem like a stupid idea at first, but I assure you it's not. There was this not-so-well-known guitarist... Steve Vai, I think his name was? Yeah, that sounds about right. Anyways, this no-name guitarist did some music for this very obscure game...Halo 2, I think? I don't know. Anyways, it was pretty rocking. Music in videogames has gotten far beyond beeps. Has Michael ever considered making instrumentals for use in videogames? I think it would rock to blow people's brains out while listening to our favorite shredder.

Are you talking about the begging of halo 2 where it does the divebomb? Is that really Vai? Yeah, that would be sweet if Michael did video game music. not many people know about shred and would be very blown away.

Not just that, but much of the other music in the game, including the actual main theme song. Awesome stuff.

Nothing beats the packman "Soundtrack" ;D Actually the Commodore64 soundchip is quite sought after and is being recreated both in hardware and software. Would be great with more Guitar-Rock in computergames, Yngwie for the next Baldur's Gate and MAB for the next F-Zero game. The Soundtrack for GTA Vice City was great, one Station/CD full of 80's hardrock / metal. And I think Jenna Jamieson did some Voiceover

Yeah Vice City had a great soundtrack... but that's not exactly what I was talking about. I was talking more about ambient music in videogames, if you know what I mean. Oh and by the way, I think Jenna did the voice for Candy Suxxx...makes sense to me anyways .

Final Fantasy X has a very nice hard-rocking theme too, it's called 'Other World'. It's really one of the best songs I know 0.o

Dude do you live in a cave? How the hell do you not know who Steve Vai is.Do you even play guitar!?Sorry if your joking, but if your not thats sad.Probally one of the most amazing guitar players ever and FAST.He barely shows it though but at the G3 he did a solo where I swear it was speeded up.I want to see him doing Firestrings or at least of the score of it!

Cracker lmao!I doubt it.Theres so many false statements about it.Because of copyrights it probally won't happen although I heard they're will be a tour for it again in California! It probally will be released though.I'd rather see it.You think Ichiro w/e his last name is would be impressed enough to share it!

Its abit obvious he's joking. As for Firestrings i've heard it was supposed to be one of the hardest things he's done in his career so you would of thorght they would of filmed it...

Thats because they did film it.It's just the copyrights to it are the problem. Also I heard this is not a Vai fan thing but isn't that obvious because the songs probally classicalish/Malmsteenish so whats the big deal?

So they've copywrited it so no one can see it? Yeah it will probley be classical which is a good thing

HORRAY!I hope one day to be able to do all of Bachs Toccata and Fredic Chopins Fantise Improptu OP.99 Because the Toccata is hard but more long than anything and Chopins peice has the most impossible tapping ever alot of 7 fingered tapping.

alot of Toccata isn't that hard theres just a alot of awkward fingerings

Yea!Thats what I mean but then again playing the whole peice and sticking the two tracks together when you can is a bit grueling.

The first time I let Chase (Singer in our band) hear Michael..He was like "Dude that sounds like Street Fighter music"..I think that right there is the answer to the question. Of course MAB should do video game music lol..But to me the best video game is still the older RPG's (Especially older FF's, I don't play the newer BC they wel, ***)..

When Michael is in the shred zone, it often reminds me of "Centipede". Remember that video game?
