We should setup a lesson thread for posting multi-format lessons, tab, powertab, guitar pro and video files, not just for advanced players but for beginners too, could attract a lot of interest and get mike recognised more too.
just an idea
peace.
oh and chatreeo, post something non shred like some other guy did, he got a lot more credit for that.
peace

Yeah I agree that just coming to post videos is annoying but I'm cool with it as long as they arent the same shredding over and over again. I find that stuff boring after the first minute. It impresses me more to see someone sit and write a melody like "Ice 9" than to sit and sweep dominant 7th arpeggios..Half the stuff I write is nothing but Satchy melody..But I can shred decently if I want..That's just not what it's about ..

The best part of that video was when you slowed down. Speed is good but I think it's better in small doses. Blitzkrieg for 8 minutes induces coma's.
Nice chops though. I'll give credit where credit is due and you definately have skills.
Happy guitaring!

you have very good technique and you actually play a lot like me(with the exception of the pinky being stuck to the guitar). I think the pinky thing might actually be slowing you down if it even sounds believable. It supports your alternate picking very well, but your descending sweep picking arpeggios suffer with rythmical inconsistency. You nailed those sweeps very good a few times and they had a pleasant pop to them, but many times on the lower strings the sweeps lacked a lot of clarity. You might consider backing off the gain a bit(I think your technically at a level where you could definitely try that). This would of course expose your problem with the rythmical spacing of the lower strings but it will be good for you to hear yourself in that light. Also really monitor your left hand and try working a little on your vibrato.

*COUGH*STOP POSTING I hope someone else can agree with me that having people posting themselves playing trying to look good by doing crappy improvs. for 8-10 gets real annoying.Espically when people are using crappy suzuki amps or some AMP make out of carboard. So quit with the improvs.,bad tone, and bends!Nobody cares about your annoying playing!

When i was visiting a guitar school called the guitar institute, i saw loads of players who just sweeped constantly, 15yr old kids were playing trilogy suite etc, i really cant stand just shred shred shred for ages, what ever happened to tapping, harmonics or any other technique besides sweeping, we arent having a go at you, we are simply stating what we think could make it better and i dont think much people on the board would buy your 8mins shred sequences if it were released as a record, we grow as musicians through others, sometimes we get complimented, sometimes we get criticised but it makes us a lot better, when u record a song or a tune ask yourself "would i buy that?" Peace

Yeah shred is great an everything but i get bored of it after 3 minutes straight of it i can sweep an alternate pick fast but i don't use that exessively i'm currently learning tapped arpeggios an various other tapping techniques to broaden my musical arsenal

So with all this tapping talk what is your favorite song w/ tapping in it?
One rule: If you say Eruption, you have to give your second favorite, hehe.
Right now I am really in to Crazy Train, I think Rhoads sounded so great in that.

At the moment i'm working on sweep tapping and 2 hand tapped arpeggios so the sonfs at the moment that include this are Michael Angelo - This Cd IS Dedicated To You (does that song have a name ) and also the passage at the end of No Boundaires (Studio Version)
