You must be a member of the Street Team to participate in the banner contest. If you not a member, you can post your banners here for everyone to see. It might help the Street Team with some ideas.

Blondie knows how. He posted the instructions somewhere. When he enters today, maybe he will list them again for us? It didn't look too hard.

Deb, now that I am a member... can I enter? If so, what I don't have are any of the specifications. I worked on one today, and used a couple of images off of www.angelo.com, and a picture I took of MAB a few years ago. I assumed any of the images are ok to use. I want to make sure the dimensions are good before I send it... or that I am even eligible Please let me know… you can e-mail me directly if appropriate.

Yes, you are eligible. The dimensions should be like any other banner you see on forums and websites. Not too big, we'll be using it to post on other peoples forums and we don't want to make them angry by posting giant banners. Think, "forum friendly". The design is totally up to you. You can use Michael's site and mine to grab photos and artwork or you can make up your own. If you're using a photo of Michael with his guitar, make sure he is holding a Dean! When the contest is complete, I'll post all the banners on the street team page.

lol this is my amazing banner! isnt ms paint amazing... You may want to checkout GIMP at www.gimp.org. It is a open source software that is for doing photo retouching, image composition and image authoring (like some expensive software that you may not have). Once you download and install it, you can click on new and select ''web banner common' and then go to town. It can even create animated gifs... though I don't plan on doing it for this banner. The only problem I am running into, is that it can do so much... (and I have created a few different designs) is chosing which one to submit. I keep learning new things (first time I have realy used software like this) and keep playing with the banners to try to make them better .

<Snip> If you're using a photo of Michael with his guitar, make sure he is holding a Dean! When the contest is complete, I'll post all the banners on the street team page. I can't tell if it is a Dean or not... is that a problem? Also, is the banner for MAB's site or this Forum? I just realized I never asked, and assumed it was for his site.

The double is a Dean (his first double I think - and given to Hardrock cafe') the other is the Rocket, a Charvel guitar.
