I'm having the same problem as Luke. However, I'm on dial up, and I'm lazy, so I probably won't check again later . However, judging by the last post, our boy jared here has some talent! ;D

Its a trademark of Mikes and i wouldnt want to use it, there aint much to it, its just over and under hitting notes built on lots of practice, E to e string skipping is my own trademark along with tapped vibrato, i dont want to be an MAB clone, i know u are probably just trying it out, i'm just presenting my opinion on it.

Altho its Michael's trademark i still use it i like to play over the neck sometimes its a visual thing but abit more demanding i try to add as many diffrent "tricks" into my playin as i can there more the better i think.

It is Mike's signature move, but not many people would be able to say "hey youre just copying mike, get a life u n00b0rz!". Mike, although world famous, still tends toward obscurity among the mainstream. As for orchid's tapped vibrato...umm...I use that all the time, and I've only been playing for a few months; it doesn't seem that special to me, nor something that you should really call a "trademark move". Ditto for the E to E string skipping. I incorporate it into my playing all the time, but probably not with the skill and speed that you do it. Sorry orchid, I'm not bashing you or anything, you're a great guy and an asset to the forum. I, like you, am just presenting my opinion of it.For me, knowing as many guitar tricks as possible is a good thing, it makes you a better showman, more exciting to watch, and lets you impress millions of people who don't know a thing about guitar.

does anyone else on here do the Mab over/under or have videos? I've actually had tremendous success with it. For some reason, it's just came naturally to me though I'm not as fluent when it comes to the lower strings. Too much string noise. I agree about not using it often since it has been done and it is Michaels trademark but it is fun.........and very impressing!
