I use the red whammy pedal by digitech. I love it! They say that the older models are better, but I'm satisfied with the new one, to be honest.

Yeah, a digitech whammy and a morley volume are the only two pedals I use besides my line 6 floorboard.

I want a Whammy or an Old Digitech Harmonizer controlled by a pedal.
The new Whammy is a reissue of the original with the inclussion of a MIDI input (ie. it can be remote controlled), Whammy II isn't thought to be as good.

Is whammy another name for a wah, or does a whammy pedal do something different? Is it like a whammy bar in a pedal or something?

It's a whammybar in a pedal (more or less) for doing glissandos, pedalsteel style slides, harmonizing and stuff. Whammy as a digital fx is a Digitech trademark so other companys might call it other names. Here a link to Digitech Whammy www.digitech.com/products/whammy.htm
