I'll ask Michael about it for you.
It may take him awhile to answer all the questions under the other thread because he is in recording sessions right now.

I am a huge proponent of education having a college degree myself. I am going out of town to perform my first shows for 2005 and will be back early next week. E mail Deb about this and I will give you a copy of my backing track for "No Boundaries". I sincerely hope this helps you. The "No Boundaries" backing track is also on my "Speed Lives" DVD.

Thank u Michael . I know that there's a backing track on speed lives but it is not like i ll get my DVD player with me when i ll be eximined . There is also something else . I use a standar 22 fret les paul , so play the song a tone lower (that ll be D natural minor ) ,so i ll have to do some changes on the backing track anyway . Thats impossible to do it on a DVD . . Thanks for ur time

But that's ok, there is no problem PS = ok I will register, but I cannot access to my mailbox for the moment...

No he means change the tone of the backing track to one tone lower becuase he's playing it on a 22 fret guitar. GibsonLesPaul: Have you taken that exam yet i'd like to hear how it went?

Good luck chief, for my HNC is music theory i had to do and original piece and my own piece, La Primevera Allergo by Antonio Vivaldi arranged for guitar was my original piece and a song called bluesbreaker which i wrote myself and is one of the most requested instrumentals at my gigs was my own piece, what kind of music course are you doing and no you plan to go to university to continue?
Cheers

Hello everyone, on the subject of backing tracks - I've got my first real show coming up and we're basically doing a G3 type thing, anyway I was thinking of closing with "no boundries" but the only bt I've found is in D, but I always practice it in E (concert pitch) is there anyway I could get a No Boundries BT in E? I would really appreciate it I only have one good guitar so I can't really change tunings between songs etc. Also, it's three weeks away but I'm already nervous, any tips on keeping calm ... it's not a huge place but there will be over 100 people there (which seems like a lot to me ) and I'll be playing all instrumental shred type songs. GibsonLesPaul - good luck ... a scholarship would be great (considering their fees ) so I hope you get in.

Hey dude, in relating to nerves we all have our own way of dealing with it, i'm totally shut off from the crowd while playing, its just me and the band, talking to the crowd is a good idea before you go on set, that way u have the feel of the place, but as i said, we all have our own methods, i'm sure some other guys will help out on this matter?
Peace dude

i'm sure some other guys will help out on this matter? Well because it's such a small stage and we have so little time we're thinking of just using backing tracks, so it will be just me and the crowd ... and No Boundries ... maybe we can play rhythm for each other so I don't feel so alone.

I've actually done part of "No Boundaries" with my band as an intro to a KISS song! It turned out TEXT better than expected.

Does anyone know of a program that could take the backing track I already found in D and change it to E, while keeping the tempo etc ?

If You have the backing as a MP3, WAW, AIFF or the like, You'll some audioeditor with a transpose function. The quality will be degraded some

i've got a backing in Eb. I know cool edit pro does offer the facility to change the key, however only in MIDI! I've been trying to find out how as well, as it is a pain in the arse!!!
