He definatly has a style all his own, but very good. I watched an instructional video by him once, I ccan't remember Which one I had to be his first one, anyway he looked so stoned I felt high buy the time I was done watching it .lol and I don't even do drugs. At least I had quit buy that time and still drug free!!!! 8-)17 years clean!

Too bad he left Megadeth to go to Japan. Its a shame really that now all he's doing is little stuff with Japanese bands. That man must have a screw loose . However I have heard good stuff about his solo work, and his cd when he was in Cacophony with Jason Becker (another fretboard genious, check out Perpetual Burn!).

Marty is an awesome player.
He has his own reasons to move to Japan. He is a very huge guitarist in Japan and it seems like he is going very well in Japan. Everybody has his/her own reasons that we should respect so don't mad at Marty for turning Megadeath down. I know Megadeath does not need him. Who is needed for Megadeath? The answer is "Dave"!
He left Megadeath because Japan is a better place for him. I'm sure if you were him you would do the same thing. Everybody has to pick the best one, right?
I can tell you that Marty is not a shredder. He is a very good musician and does not shred a lot. He can play guitar fast but much slower than Michael Angelo, Jeson Becker or other shredders but what he is good at, he is very good at melody.

I loved the Cacophony stuff as well as his solo stuff. I thought Rust in Peace was the best one with him in Megadeth.
