Sounds sweet, just needs vocals now The shredding was good, I probrably would have done the solo a little differently though. Theres some cool licks in there though

I'd probably do the solo differently now as well ;D The song itself I composed nearly a year ago, so my chops weren't as good.

ah power metal, one of my fortés. It began as all power metal tracks should, witha cheesey overdone riff! IT actually sound very similar to the power metal stuff i wrote for my old band Hero Quest. The drums were pretty decent i thought, jsut some of the sounds EQs needed tweaking. Pretty good tone, maybe a little too heavy on the rythym, i personally think instea dof having a heavy rythym tone it needs to be light and punchy with really defined pick attack to ensure the triplets etc get the right accents. Would love to hear this with vocals. Could do with some keyboard/orchestra/string sections.
I didnt like the ebginning of the solo weher ethe rythyym became slow, but when it sped it the solo was great man. Some of the tapping in the solo reminded me too much of dragonforce style. The solo that came in at about 3.05 was best. Keep working man, would love to hear the finished verison with voclas and some strings.

Thanks man! This was recorded way back when I was using the Duncan Invader, maybe that's why the rhythm sounds uber thick and sludgy for a power metal song ;D It has its own merits, though. No other pickup can get as thick as this. And yes, it's all about the cheesiness in power metal (lol), but Dragonforce... Noooooooo!!!!

haha, very power metal ! i love it! i would raise the volume on the solos a bit. tones not too bad, its a little muddy, but that can always be fixed, you got yourself a nice powermetal song now you just need the guy from yngwie (short hair) or some italian dude to sing for you!

If you mean Dougie White he doesn't deserve to sing on that track.

Lol! Doogie White doesn't fit the power metal genre at all (the latest Yngwie albums prove that), and I don't really like most of the typical soaring power metal vocals. If I needed vocal duties then I'd have Jeff Scott Soto or Jorn Lande. Truly monstrous power in their voices.
