What a wonderful thing a internet forum is.
In a forum I can be talking about more than one subject at a time and about different things with different people, without anybody thinking that I'm not paying attention. I can do research while I'm talking. I can do other things, like playing/talking with my son, Talk on the phone, listen to music, play guitar and as I have two computers I can even play computer at the same time. I have all the time in the world to think about what I wanna say and I can even edit what I said earlier.
I've only been a regular forum user for about four month, earlier I just signed up at interesting foras, looked around for a day or two, but I felt I was hard to become a part of the society there and newer came back. Then four month ago I signed up at the MetalMethod forum, coz I had a question for Mike. Then, just like mike changed feeling about playing guitar again, this changed my online social life. I had fun, I learned stuff and I felt that I could contribute with things myself. Then Mike got his own forum, and I signed up very early, wich made it much easier to "mingle".
I still attend Metalmethod as well as a few very small boards and it's nice to have different foras to go to, but one have to adjust to the different places (just like in real life). At metalmethod You don't talk about competing products and here You only praise Mike...
And that's the way it should be. If I wanted to praise other guitarplayers (and I like many players) I would hang out at their sites, not here. But in order to praise Mike I don't have to slag other players. I think it's ok to comment and compare, but the level should be reasonable.
That's All For Now...
