I've been seeing them around. They are low priced but they seem to be popular. Whats the scoop?

Galveston is weird. The company "Galveston" doesn't actually make the guitars but rather buys up nameless Japanese and Chinese copies and stamps their name on them. Some are extremely well made... Others make good fire wood. The one I own was made inside a Japanese Cort factory (for their higher end stuff) that used to be an infamous Ibanez factory way back when. I love everything about it and I'll be damned if I can't find another one like it. It's one of those one offs Galveston gets their grubby hands on. It's basically an old Yamaha Pacifica 1221 copy with serious upgrades in body wood and neck construction. But all in all I'd stay away from them. They have some "production models" all over ebay that are just pure crap. Their higher end instruments ($500+) are supposedly amazing though. They have a "website" floating around somewhere.
