A seven string MAB guitar with no graphics and a trans quilt maple top or maybe the armor flame graphic... still really dig that.
Or a JPM 7

I made a list of my favourite guitars but it's really a long and boring list lol. Maybe I'll post it here if I have the time.

My dream would be to design and build a guitar completely by myself. But I don't see that happen in the near future. Of standard guitars on the market, non-custom I don't really have a dream guitar, there's many nice guitars out there, I would love to get my hands on the Ibanez Meshuggah signature since I'm really into extended range instruments. Mine would be a ibanez universe swirled XD Swirls are the bomb, I'm going to do a swirl this summer, can't wait for the snow to disappear so I can work outside I'll post pictures when I'm done.

Yes! be sure u post some pics ;-) I just got this ibanez rg guitar from my girlfriend for my birthday. (some pic from the web) It's a fine guitar to practise (and i love maple necks) The pickups are weak "paf" like, but again it's a practise guitar. U can pimp this guitar with ease, for example www.ebay.com/itm/Ibanez-RG550-RG350-RG570-JEM-GRAPHIC-PICKGUARD-DIMARZIO-/261150025155?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item3ccdc125c3And it save me some dents in the frets on my other guitars ;-)

My dream guitar would be one which made me sound in-tune with an amazing Scott Henderson level tone and touch. Lol
Failing that, the guitar I'm GASing for the most atm, though not excluxively as a "shred" guitar is a Vigier Excalibur Special. The guitar has everything I like about the Ibanez RG plus an amazing tone and top level build quality.
It's just a shame their top players past and present are crap- Shawn Lane RIP, Ron Thal and Fredrik Pihl. Haha
As for a guitar that doesn't exist yet. A hardtail Dean USA MAB sig would be up there, especially a 7. The specs would probably be alder body, maple bolt-on neck, ebony board, Dean Baker Act/MAB pups, amazing build quality.

Some of my dream guitar(s) would be the: Jackson Vinnie Vincent V, Wayne Guitars Meanie Green, Joe Stump's Vintage White/White Pearloid pickguard ESP Strat.
Strangely I've also been really into the EB/MM Silhouette lately. In some ways it's like a 24 fret Strat, as opposed to a superstrat, although it's a subtle difference of opinion there.

Joe Stump's Vintage White/White Pearloid pickguard ESP Strat. I know Joe isn't as well regarded or liked as Yngwie (at least in playing terms lol) but ESP should release that as his sig. I think it would sell extremely well. I know of a few people who haven't bought the Yngwie Fender sig because they can't stand the man. I don't quite understand that, it's like cutting your nose to spite your face if the guitar is what you're after but a Stump sig would be ideal for them.

Yeah with some of the players that have signature models out it seems Joe is in line for one. Of course you could easily make it yourself by just getting the ESP Vintage Plus, getting it refinished vintage white, getting it scalloped etc... a bit of work but perhaps the only way if you NEED an ESP Stump Strat. You couldn't get the reverse headstock that way but everything else. I know that in some ways the newer Fender Blackmore Strat fits the bill for some ppl who don't love Yngwie but wanted a scalloped Strat, but it's not really my thing. For me as a Chris Impellitteri fan I would like to get his Signature Strat although Fender Japan only made it for a very short time. They also absurdly put a Texas Special?! bridge pickup in there but that's easily fixable. If his Dean would have been cool I may have considered that but I don't like the ridiculous graphic at all.

Nice to have another Impellitteri fan on here! Big fan myself! The thing that kills his Dean signature for me is the price. $2,500?? For a very basic guitar with a simple graphic.

Nice to meet you too Maxwell! It's definitely cool to hear when others are into Impellitteri. Back in the day (2005/2006 ish) on this forum Steve (S-H) and I used to talk about Impellitteri stuff quite a bit. I haven't been active on this forum in the last couple yrs but I look forward to being back in the mix now. I really like the Japanese metal tribute thing Chris is doing now with Animetal USA. I don't know too much about Japanese metal or the songs they are doing but from the videos I've seen on youtube it looks like a fun band, with great solos, and Sarzo and Vescera are in the band too so that's cool.
I really like Stand in Line the best, from a playing and tone perspective. Some people (including Chris) don't like the amount of reverb on Stand in Line's guitar tracks but I think it sounds smoother that way, as opposed to the more aggressive sound he usually has.
Sort of back to the topic of the thread, I used to own an Yngwie Strat (vintage white/maple) but always sort of wanted a candy red/rosewood one like Chris uses in the Speed Soloing instructional video. They don't make them in that color anymore but maybe at some point I'll try to hunt down a used one, maybe even sand off the signature like Chris did!

I actually got to see them play at the Anime expo last year. Chris is a great live player. I actually think, as far as his lead parts go, the Animetal USA stuff is some of his best work. I've never completely understood why Chris doesn't get more recognition in the US.

Dream Guitar? Well, I have been toying with the concept of a 16-neck guitar. Assuming I could play it of course, I could give MAB quite a scare ;D
