GOAL Yep got one, but the pickups have been replaced by "stephen pickups" or something... it's custom made by a tech. But i got the dimarzio's as well, so i'll play it some more and maybe switch em back... Pictures soon...

Sweet! Massive congrats! I am seriously considering getting one. Yngwie is why I started playing guitar, before that I wanted to be a drummer, lol! Let me know how it is, please. I am going threw some serious debates about my next axe.. and abit of info about tone and feel of the scalloped fretboard would be most helpful. It is that or some ml's or a couple esp snakebytes....or... a couple MAB 7's lol... I am killing my brain with debates. Any thoughts would be most helpful.

I know what ur going true lol Myself has gone true this fase, and i was wondering for years how a scalloped fretboard would feel... And the answer is....AWESOME!!!
I could not believe how easy it was to get the feel for this guitar, and to be honest it feels like u have like 50% less friction on the fretboard which is really,REALLY easy for vibrato's!
People who say that it's hard are probably the ones who have bad technique, because people who shred are mostly the ones with light touch, and that is what this guitar demands, but it really ain't that scary :-)
Tone: I LIKE the tone of this guitar, BUT it does not have the dimarzio pcikups YET so i can't tell u how the whole guitar "could" sound. This is my first guitar that is made of alder and i LOVE it!
Updates will follow ones i played more with this guitar...

Thanks for the info man! So tempting, but the money thing didn't go as well as planned so I am having to look at cheaper options.... Looking forward to seeing the pics, thou! It is awesome you were able to snag one of those! Congrats!

Damn, this gives me even more GAS, always wanted a YJM strat, it's a shame that they are so expensive, most of his fans are young people anyway so I don't really get why they priced it so high.

True but I think it has more to do with the fact that Fender is the douche guitar company in the guitar world, of course they're number two behind Gibson ;D
