Hi everyone. My first post here. I've observed that MAB has a very ergonomic playing position in both standing up and sitting down. When sited, he still uses a strap and favors the Classical playing position (guitar on the left thigh). Looks super comfortable. In 30+ years of playing I still never felt 100% fine when standing up. We all know the tricks such as having the guitar in the same position/height as in sitting down, or adding weight to avoid neck dive, etc. So I want your opinion on this, and possible Mike's. Lets start with sitting down: The best position seems to be with classical one with an aprox 45 degree neck angle. Do you guys achieve that using a strap? foot stool? booth? Check this image: Problems: I cannot achieve that position WITHOUT a foot stool. Also the guitar never stays in that position. Standing Up Position: Yes. I aim at having the closest position to the sitting one. I dont mind to have it low! However all my guitars have BALANCE problems: some have neck dive (the SG being the worst!), some other DO NOT have neck dive, but guitar does not stay in that nice "sitting like" position, as when MAB stands up IOW, no guitar stays balanced when standing up, even when I have it at the SAME height as sitting down. Any tip? do you guys put weight to balance the instruments? or move the strap button to a better position? I appreciate all your opinions Bullo
