Hy Mike first of all can i just say well done in being (in my eyes) the best guitar player in my lifetime anyway my question is about the distinctive noise/tone you get when playing how do you ge this? i.e. exact settings of tone/pickups and effects ect cheers and hurry your ass over to scotland as there is a beer with your name on it

Hey Welcome to the forum Michael said awhile ago alot of his "tone" comes from the way he actully plays not the settings he uses.

When I saw him a while back he was using peavy 5150 II's, and an ibanez tube screamer.

On clinics he more or less uses whatever higain tubeamps the store can provide

it was at music live festival in the UK, on the dean guitars stand.

At the Frankfurt Kusic Messe he played Framus amps. But in the studio it's Mesa Boogie for Rythm and Marshall for Lead.
The rest is in the fingers ;D
