Not only do i listen to Michael's solo work but also the first nitro cd. I love the way Jim's voice adds to the songs on that CD. Anyhow, Michael how was jim in the studio? I hear he's a kickboxer now? Will he be showing us a thing or two about how to scream higher and louder than ever before?

I engineered Jim's vocals on the first Nitro CD "OFR". All that means is that I pressed "record" on the tape machine and he sang away. I witnessed something truly amazing in the studio. Jim does a 30 plus second high scream at the beginning of the song "Machine Gunn Eddie". I watched him do it, I heard it and was amazed that he didn't pass out after he was through singing the part. You can hear at the end of the scream where he is completely out of breath and almost falls down. My job was to make sure the record button was "on" when he sang! He did everything live as well and honestly never lost his voice at a show. Never.

You would have to give props to any singer who just faints from exherting themself too much. Actually that might be enough for me to actually buy the album. *this just in 'musician out of breath, sings to death' film at 11*

Yeah, he is an amazing singer. I have a Nitro bootleg and I have never heard anyone else sing like that at a show. He's not only good on records, he's unbeliveable live.

I know. Jim always sang the CD parts live and never lost his voice or had a sore throat where he sounded "raspy".

if so just use the Axl Rose method..complain about losing your voice while drinking Jagermeister with a cigarette hanging off your lips.
