Being that you invented it, and you're the only one who does it that I know of, I would really have no use for it other than playing Speed Lives, because that's how you play it in the song and it's a song I want to learn, but I wanted to know if it's really hard to do, and if it's a waste of time. In the vid you say you're left handed so it somehow made it easier for you or something, so being right handed does it make it really harder?

It's a live trick. Its only purpose is to impress the audience, so it's not used in the studio. Great live performance is very important, so it's not a waste of time.
I've seen many guitarists do Over/Under. Karl Logan from Manowar and Alexi Laiho from CoB immediately come to mind.

I wouldn't say its hard to do. Its just tremelo picking really. But its hard to do as fast as he does it. Ive tried a couple times, and everytime I try to do it even a quarter of the speed he does it, my thumb gets caught on the back of the neck when I try to do the "over" notes, and it messes me all up

The thing is you don't really have to hit any notes, as the average person would just sit there in aw and would not notice you are not hitting any notes. When I play in front of people I just spontaously hit whatever notes my hand hits. lol

Yeah, but it would be kinda cool to be able to play it exactly like on SL, even though in the studio he doesn't, and impress my friends lol.

i can do it pretty fast, but im left handed all the way so it's easier
try doing it on a left handed guitar that way your strong arm gets to do all the work ...

*points upwards and says* GEEK! Why do people always want to duel each other? lol Creepyliza, if you have come onto this forum to mainly challenge people then dont. This is a forum of people discussing about music and basically getting to know other people with similar interests. We are all one family here and we dont really tolerate people coming onto the forum trying to show off. Another person called Jammer came onto the forum challenging our Moderator Luke and now everyone hates him lol Get my point? But by all means stay on the forum and tell us about yourself and your guitar playing. Everyone is friendly on this forum.
